The plucky Spaniards defeated the Macedonians 28-55. The Spaniards refused their right flank and were able to use some favorable hilly terrain to their advantage and crushed the Macedonian right wing before their left wing could be brought to bear.

I've played many PBEM games as slaves and lost all of them but one, although a few of the others were quite close. The game which I won turned out to be less about terrain than the Roman player bulling ahead and exposing his flanks.

thanks, was not aware of the "threatened flank" exception to ZOC-locks...seems to defeat the purpose but good to know in any event.

OK, I've played many many games now and would have thought that I'd have figured out ZOC by now, but apparently not... I've got a game going on now in which the enemy hoplite unit highlighted in blue was facing my scutarii unit highlighted in red. I thought that the hoplite should have been ZOC-lock...

I play random maps on the Medium AI level, but if you increase the Diplomacy setting by one notch it seems to make a big difference in how often you are at war--there are still many wars, but not constant, vs the whole world :-)

I've never used any of the mods. I've asked my opponent about what mods he's using, so we'll see.

Also, while I moved my Windows "Documents" folder recently, all of the other units look normal, so it would seem odd for it to be related to that?

Graphics Issue with Thracian Armored Noble Cav

I'm currently playing as Thracian, and there seems to be a graphics problem with the Armored Noble Cav, they are kind of a neon blue color:

The other Thracian troops are a bit colorful, but not quite like this! Anyone else having this problem?

I looked at putting the info into a table in the wiki, but as far as I could tell there is no way to import a table into the wiki, and would have to enter all of the data by hand again. Having entered all of the data by hand once into the spreadsheet, I'm not eager to do it again. I'm happy to post ...

Take it from me, Steam may be utterly crap but by god they sure have a stranglehold on the gaming industry..... Well, not sure about that...this is the only game I even play via Steam, and most of the games I play are not even available on Steam. Steam probably dominates certain parts of the gaming...

It should be clear what the cost of increasing the Birth rate support is. I had a hunch that there must be some cost but couldn't find any indication as to what that would be. Also, if you click on a resource, you can see how much of that resource is being spent on birth support--that's how I found...
