Re: Adding a little Chaos

My preference would be to reduce visibility and detail of the opposition. I play the game because I want to control my army, however I think there is merit in not being able to 'see' the opposition quality. I know I'm looking at hoplites, but should I know that they are superior, normal or raw? Dri...

Re: Enemy seahorses

I also have seen transported infantry still visible after their transport was sunk. They only remained visible for two or so turns then disappeared.

Re: My big issues with this game

IMHO, in a turn based game like this, time is wiggly, space is wiggly. If the end result is reasonably realistic, then the exact path how you get there can( and will end up) being abstract. So in short the answer really is, its a game mechanic to allow evading types to be able to evade, and still b...

Re: My big issues with this game

Cohesion test for any evading unit makes a lot of sense. If heavy infantry withdrawing back one square must take a test then surely a group of javelinmen running for their lives from very annoyed legionaries should too. A group of soldiers who turn their back to the enemy and scram is not likely to...

Re: My big issues with this game

AP's should take into account what a unit can do in an allotted amount of time. So, let's say, for the sake of argument, each turn a skirmisher can move 200yards. If a skirmisher moves, then evades, then moves next turn. they will have been able to move 200yards farther than a non-evading skirmisher...

In the case of evading skirmishers it's Igo, Yougo, Igo, Igo again

Re: My big issues with this game

Skirmishers don’t hold formation. A single person can do an about face in an instant. And? The issue is that an evading skirmish unit can use 2X AP and a non-evading skirmish unit can use X AP. So, just by evading, a skirmish unit can do twice what they can normally. Also skirmishers moving faster ...

My big issues with this game

Overall I really like this game, but a couple of mechanisms are just head-scratchers to me. As it stands right now, skirmishers can evade and then take a full turn afterwards. How is this possible? It effectively gives them the ability to use double the AP's of any other troops. I would think that e...

Re: Personal, absolutely subjective impressions

I have to say that I really enjoy the game, it's quite addictive and fun. But...echoing some of what the OP said I find some units having zero melee capability really a detraction from the overall experience. The other day I had a game where a IG lasgun unit was charged by a unit of Sluggaz and the ...

Re: Oh Lordz ! Where for art thou ?

I would definitely buy a new Armageddon game. Especially if it supported an aircraft layer over the ground hexes (like PanzerCorps).

Re: I love P&S engine

I am also a big fan of this game/engine and see a lot of potential for future uses. I also have to echo another sentiment I've seen, which is probably my main gripe(for lack of a better term), which is the lack of leaders. I think some sort of leader system would really push this engine over the edg...

Thank you

I just wanted to say thank you for a very nice little game. I wish you could get more visibility for it, I only found it accidentally going through the Slitherine 'All Games' list. If it gets out up on Steam or GOG I will definitely leave a review to help support it! :!:
