Re: Range.
2R artillery heroes can probably go behind your ground AA units and bombard over them, your 'front' artillery and then beyond the defensive unit. That can mean you can use them to fire when you need to reload the frontline artillery etc and you don't have any risk from air attack either. On the atta...

Re: Most Important Star of Experience
In the GC I felt 3 stars was when I could reliably start using infantry to defend against the big boys in close terrain. Anything below three stars just got chewed up and below 2 were flat out decimated. Everything else seems to do alright once they're at 2 stars, but then again, it really depends o...

Re: GC Barbarossa to Berlin
You will probably be annoyed at me for suggesting it, but perhaps if prestige is a concern it is time to consider if the decisive victory is worth that prestige? Quite a few missions the normal victory is just as good anyway! Personally, I think the 1945 decisive are more fun and flexible than the 1...

Re: Soviet Corps Campain
I'm not a massive fan of it tbh, it feels disjointed. There could have been a few more defensive scenarios early on to encourage the building of a more balanced corps. For me, in the early game the only reliable units are your heavy tanks and your ground AA. Infantry is dire until Guards come along ...

Good luck. Vilna was one of my favourite scenarios, it's just all round fun.

Re: Slitherine price vs Steam
We set the price in USD then BlueSnap (our e-commerce partner) set the exchange rates on the shop and they deal with the conversion for other currencies. One way around this is to purchase the game in USD or another currency, then you will be charged a currency conversion rate by your bank, but thi...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #10
I hope the vanilla campaign doesn’t include the “surprise, mission objectives have changed” scripts of the PZ1 GC. doesn’t include the “surprise, mission objectives have changed” Alway's!...Expect'...The-Unexpected!!!. Since when is any Combat Situation fully understood before-hand?/in adva...

Re: GC Barbarossa to Berlin
I remember Babruysk and it was a glorious day for AA units. Was better to consider using fighters in a more defensive role from that point on, keeping them behind/over friendly territory and trying to mop up anything that comes over your own units whilst staying out of Soviet AA range. They just ble...

Re: Suggestions, wishlist and ideas for Panzer Corps 2 gameplay
Problem units in first Panzer Corps: Recon to easy be destroyed, personally think needs be able retreat if not all movement used up and take half damage doing it. Should retreat to safe distance. Infantry even in close combat against late tanks just sucks and infantry need panzerfaust to give them ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #10
I've applied belatedly to the beta. I agree with dispensing with the 'front line' and supply mechanics, I wasn't too hot on either of these from Order of Battle. That split and encirclement looked far too clever for me to pull off! :P It looks pretty neat though, I wonder how it would work in more o...

Re: Any hope for a Japanese/Pacific Campaign?
Pacific Theatre would be nice. I would genuinely enjoy a Japan campaign that deals with China in '37 and then the subsequent attacking and defending vs the South-East Asian nations and islands and of course, the USA. The increase in naval scope should also enable some more interesting British missio...

Re: Self-restriction ideas to spice up a campaign?
If you're on the GC, try only deploying at 100% soft cap indicator. If the % goes 99% or any other number, you have to un-deploy until you're back at 100% If you're zooming ahead for the top tier units at every opportunity you'll soon find you won't even be deploying half your force, especially late...

Re: Grand Campaign East core.
Is it possible to defeat the Russians at the end of the game? If so what do you need Decisive victories at Berlin and Berlin Redux. Berlin isn't too bad if you have a decent experienced core, it's an urban scenario, so if you ignored infantry you may have some issues defending some areas. You need ...

Re: Grand Campaign; Learning to use a diverse force.
Berlin Redux: An a-historical scenario. So, the objective is to assassinate/capture three prominent Russian Generals. This scenario is filled with 4/5 exp heavy troops and to try and defend is suicidal, the only victory condition is to kill the HVTs. I set up an infantry garrison around the high co...

Re: Grand Campaign; Learning to use a diverse force.
I shall, and I did. :D Seelow Heights: A defensive fight, rescue and fighting retreat all in one. This was an interesting scenario. I deployed the vast majority of my forces alongside the majority of my new air force, hoping that bombing would make a difference. It didn’t, but only due to sheer numb...

Re: Grand Campaign; Learning to use a diverse force.
Budapest ’45: An offensive scenario back in Hungary, to relieve the surrounded Budapest. If my history is correct, this relief was a failed effort? But, in any case it is a beeline to the city to secure the auxiliary units. I do wish these missions didn’t have auxiliary tanks in city hexes though, ...

Re: Grand Campaign; Learning to use a diverse force.
Laptau: A third offensive mission, and a third mission with different victory objectives. This time we’re on a search and destroy mission, to recon sectors and destroy artillery units. It is highly advised to bring infantry and to avoid sectors that have no artillery in the briefing, so this sounds...

Trouble sleeping last night, so I'm going to post the whole progress I've made so far: Warsaw Uprising: An opportunity to do a city attack and it is the Polish rather than the Soviets this time. I didn’t really enjoy this scenario; Overstrength and experienced units were annoying. I think it would h...
