Excellent idea. I can see future expansions that will include support for the real weapons systems venture of last year?

Re: The future of FoG

I was hoping for an Easter present. It would have been fitting ... with the rising from the grave theme ... 8)
There must have been some major issues uncovered late in the process for it to be delayed this long after the almost release?

Re: Switch to New FoG or Stay with Old?

Didn't think that there was a choice. The multi player server will be for the new game only. Happy to be corrected on this?

I understand that the new code base is highly portable cross platform. So looking forward, I expect the answer would be "yes".

Re: this place is dead or what

Personally I'm happy to have a break from FOG so that I can explore other games in my limited free time. However, I do intend to get back into it once the new version is released. Re: New Buyer First Impression

From memory it was the cost of taking all those figurine images was the reason why new graphics were not done. Someone suggested a fan based image capture program, which is nice idea.

Re: Potential Buyer Question

Hi Stardog. The original game is still worth the purchase. If you are into tabletop wargaming, then this is still one of the best games out there. When the new version comes out, that is a bonus! Good community of players to help you learn the game as well!

Div A
claymore (Medieval Irish, early 1315-1318) 31/49 defeats LordNytram (HYW English, Continental, Allied 1340) 35/33

The English were doing well for awhile, but could not push on due to wear & tear. Numbers won out in the end.

Div A
claymore (Medieval Irish, early 1315-1318) 36/46 defeets hidde (Medieval French) 37/32

The charge of the French knights failed early on. Hidde did a good job of getting things back on track, but ran out of time.
