Yes, there is a patch coming that fixes a number of things here and there.

Nothing big from the new features in it.

Does it now freeze even after you start a new game and then save it? Or only the latest save causes the freeze? If the latest, it will help if you send me that saved game to ufnv@mail.ru If it always freezes when saving (even after the new game), then it is something to do with the file system or us...

When you command "keep formation" they keep both current formation AND current orientation. Now imagine, you have two ships, one just above another. The game installs "as administrator" (why ?!) and sets the icon/link to "run as administrator". That can be changed by the user, but requires some skills. To make things worse the DLC dose the same, even resetting the "run as administrator" on the icon/link. This is strait wrong for obvious securit...
