Yes, when I reload or when I move one of my units to the hex with the ghost unit, then it disappears completely.
Luckily not every Japanese soldier carries a Samurai sword!

Triggers would be a reason. I wasn't talking about triggers that take away the fog of war.
Good catch. Yes, I modified a little. I replaced airstrips with airports in some scenarios (no other changes) but that shouldn't affect the sight of units or the fog of war.
