Re: Problem loading US Corps Custom Campaigns

I am glad that it worked out but I cannot figure out why it would make a difference whether you extracted the US Corps 1942-1943 folder to your desktop first and then moved it to the custom campaigns folder in its entirety. Perhaps it's a setting in the compression program that you are using? Well, ...

Re: The new Website etc and Patches

I cannot comment on the websites. I can advise you to "stick with the Stickies" in this forum, among which is usually a thread with links to the latest patch.

Re: Problem loading US Corps Custom Campaigns

When you say "place them in the OOB Campaign file," make sure that you are not accessing the program's official DLC campaign folder, which is: C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Order of Battle - WWII\Order of Battle - WW2_64_Data\Content\Campaigns Instead, a custom campaign goes into this folder (PC/Windo...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

I'll take another look at Caumont. I'm not suggesting a major revision of the map. I am thinking of a slightly broader and a continuous front in terms of British hex ownership (it was wider in Villers-Bocage) with British units in a more regularly spaced arc that would look like a salient. I do see...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Caumont-l'Eventé Comment : This OOB map bothers me. The British are too strung out - the "Caumont-l'Eventé Gap" seems to refer to them rather than the Germans - and the map omits the fact that the Panzer Lehr Division faced pressure to their front; i.e., from north of Tilly-sur-Seulles. Hence they ...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Nice additions to Villers-Bocage. Thanks. I try to make them plausible, based on a reasonable amount of research. Don't be shy if I err or overreach. Question : Before I get into 13Caumont which is named "Caumont-l'Eventé - An Opportunity Lost (Large)," what is the relationship of this scenario to ...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Villers-Bocage Edit : Two humans again. I fixed. Edit : Turns per day = 18 = Turn limit. Edit : The objective is "Hold all 5 objectives at scenario end" but there are six primary VP's on the map. The sixth is Tracy-Bocage, southwest of Villers-Bocage. I felt that this was a more important hex than ...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

. . . what I am thinking of doing with Michael Wittman's Tiger tank in Villers Bocage. Speaking of which, if you don't like what I did in this regard, remove the "- Wittmann" tag from this unit: Screenshot 1.jpg . . . return the scenario name to "Villers Bocage - Wittmann's Ride" or something else:...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Re unit density. Operation Epsom's massive OOB convinced me to go from company to battalion level for the Allies and battalion/company for the Germans. I think the larger maps will still work well with this. I may keep the company level for the small scenarios as otherwise there will hardly be any ...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Bruce, please feel free to edit any scenario briefing/info to your heart's content. ... Lastly, I usually do not add many secondary objectives. I thought I'd wait until I had at least one scenario play-test under my belt. If you have any interesting ones up your sleeve, put them in. I feel like the...

Our work-rules work fine for me. Yes, this does seem to be working out well. Just please keep an eye out for questions that I may ask to which your answers will affect the nature of what I offer as remedies or improvements. These scenario descriptions that you are providing are instrumental for set...

Where is the download link for v0.1 ? He's got it in the opening post of his "conboy's scenarios" thread which is the proper procedure. Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Thanks for the tips on resource income. I will surely keep them in mind. If you are calling a scenario "monster unit wise," then it must surely be a whopper. The map has to be correspondingly huge as well. Have you tried running it for a few turns? When you do so, bear in mind that while you may hav...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Changed cargo units to proper staff recon cars. It's good that you mention this for two reasons. First, this change puts the kibosh to the conditions tactic used for this trigger (see the discussion of it in the Juno Beach post above): Screenshot 1.jpg I agree with the change of vehicles. Although ...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Added turns to Sword. If you are flexible in this regard, I would also suggest adding a couple of turns to Mesnil-Patry. 8 turns just doesn't seem like enough in any OOB scenario, regardless of map size. Sure, not 24 or 36 but 10-12 turns seems to me to be optimal for a small map, especially if the...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Misery at le Mesnil-Patry Comment : Another small map (with only 8 turns) so perhaps no CP's and no income is approprate? Screenshot 1.jpg Edit : I'm concerned about the setup of this scenario. The description says, "The Operation was intended to create the threat of a British breakout to the south...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Juno D+1 Edit : Just in case, I changed Turns per Day from 48 to 26 which is the Turns Limit. Edit : There was the same "Air Supply Limit Exceeded" issue with this scenario, which I fixed by turning on "Off-map Air Supply Source." Comment : No land CP's in this one, although it doesn't seem to matt...
