I think for "facing" a simple idea would be to tweak the Mass Attack values. If the supporting unit is adjacent to the attacking unit, the current -1. If it's to the flank of the enemy unit, -2. If it's directly to the rear of the attack, -3.

Well all the SSVT units active in Poland were infantry, artillery, or recon. If you want them to have some special armoured units, maybe move the availability of the Panzer III E up by a few months? They didn't go into production until October, but hey this is all alternate history after all.

4gb DDR2 @ 400mhz! Only 10 years old!

Hopefully upgrading this summer, when it would be 16gb DDR 4 @ 3200mhz. Just a slight upgrade.

I think I'll try 2 movement for lighter guns, that will certainly give them a niche next to the larger calibers.

Another issue with countryside: towed guns have -50% movement, which means that with only 1 movement they can cross 2 countryside tiles.

I read your post about movement in the PzC II forums and had to try this out for myself. So far I'm enjoying it quite a bit, especially the importance of roads and planes having to consider the path to their target to avoid mountains. So having no Italian units I'd resigned myself to a MV. However after a few turns and startlingly small resistance, especially in the north, I began pushing forward. I manage to take the US airbase, when suddenly...at least a dozen units spawn all around my task force and annihilate it from all side...

I believe if a fixed turret attacks a rotating turret, they suffer a -3 to Initiative. This is to encourage the use of tank destroyers as defensive units, or on the offensive against suppressed targets or with mass attack support. I would like to tell you guys about a simple change I made to the equip file that adds a WHOLE lot more depth to the game. All you do is set the movement of all towed guns to zero. Simple eh? Well I was very disappointed with the West campaign. I was ready for small-scale operations, but that lasted all of 3 missions. I have no idea why they strip your Core away only to fill it back up again with Soviet stuff. Conscripts? BA-10s? T-34s? KVs? My Core was more Russian than German after Die...

One thing I don't believe has been mentioned is how suddenly the slowdown begins. I'll have no lag whatsoever, go to select my next unit, and there's now a 1.5s delay for everything.

Alright, thanks guys. Think I'll go West.

Bit of a shame since I really enjoyed the challenge of 20% Prestige, but I guess you need to be stockpiling it in times of plenty so you'll have it in times of need.

No solution yet. Checking this thread daily as well. I'm only playing the GC so I can't say if it's worse, but apparently running the game with Steam completely turned off will help. However you can't do this when playing the GC, so I'm stuck atm.
