I cannot keep you posted on ANY game I make (on this forum) since not all games I make are decided beforehand who will publish it. You would have to continue this discussion with me on my own forum since this is a forum only intended for Slitherine products in general and (this one) CEAW in particul...

So, both me and Iain are right. A Commander game of WW3 or other new eras must be made with Slitherines permit, but it has to be done with a different code engine than CEAW/CNAW unless I am involved. Firstly, thanks for a tremendous effort! I'm sure an excellent Java guy like yourself will have no ...

Thanks alot for your answer! Johan did an amazing job of coding up a complex game in such a short amount of time. But, perhaps he already had his Java game engine before the CEAW project started? I've been re-reading the old forum posts and it's interesting to review his old designer notes. I addre...

Perhaps a global game with larger map would be best using a combination of land hexes but sea regions. Concerning the GS, I am afraid it cannot include Pacific or World War Maps. It would require code changes that I am not keen on. I allowed code changes by modders for GS since it helped turning ho...

For the large campaigns about the same. The best AI in the series you will find in the smaller CNAW scenarios due to its tactical scope and that the tactical AI was improved from CEAW -> CNAW

Now that we know that a GS pacific scenario won´t be possible we all would like to see in the near future a CEAW official pacific version. :) Well, I am still busy supporting World Empires Live which is the latest game that uses some of the codebase of CEAW. It is not a sequel but more like a dista...

I did not say that I favour Pacific over any of other candidates. All between 1914-1945 are possibilites for the CEAW engine, not just WW2.

As we should be: it is easy to forget amidst the GS mod excitement, that Slitherine is still a business operation. Slitherine has allowed a very generous degree of FoC latitude for the GS mod, which many others would not. It behoves all GS enthusiasts to spread the word and encourage their ...

you need to have at leist 1024x768 or higher. Do you use a computer monitor as display or are you using a TV, Projector or something else?
If you have problems with display then you need to manually set up 1024x768 prior to game starting.

Thanks. Never seen that Emperor of the Fading Suns game before actually but it looks cool. An inspiration for Space Games I believe but too bad it had no online play but only PBEM. If you are doing empire building I am really looking forward to playing the new game(s)! :) Then get the free 1 day tri...

Thanks for speaking up. It is difficult as a developer knowing in advance what customers will think when making a game. Regardless of the reasons, Napoleon at War does not sell well enough to encourage more sequels. I have switched into the empire building niche and so the Commander engine is put on...

WW2 is a well known seller, but other settings are tougher I am afraid. That is why the sequel Commander Napoleon at War sell worse than Commander Europe at War, less ppl feel "connected" to the setting.

How many displays do you have connected to your PC, more than one?
You can press <print> on your keyboard to catch a picture of the black menu before it closes. Paste it in a document and mail us.
