As I said before, I can start a sandbox game with 4 opponents. But, of course, you're right that there should be no limit. Maybe the devs can explain why there is this limitation.

With a large Galaxy I have to choose at least 4 opponents.
Then the start button is enabled. (Version 1.00.02)

It seems that you have to choose at least three opponents.

Hi,

I would like to disable panning when the mouse pointer is moved to an edge of the screen. Especially on a multi monitor system this is a bit annoying.
Maybe an option to turn off could be implemented or have I missed something and turning off is already possible?
