Re: Never give up (Hibernia - Roman Britain)

Great post!
I also like this scenario and despite its size, you can have suprisingly nice games!

Re: How do these items work?

Initial version (from which you might have seen some screenshots) had lower food consumption. That's why you might think that having 1000 food should be normal. It was vastly reduced. Having 70-100 food should be more than enough. There is a big difference between food and any other resource. Food c...

Re: How do these items work?

Food: I haven't checked but it is likely due to the number of mobile units. I would definitely check the Resource usage window where everything is calculated in detail. Low is in comparison to others which are often at 1.4k as an example. I would say that those are screenshots/statements before the...

Re: Invulnerable sounds!

Would you mind to come to our Discord channel? I guess that the problem is that the game is not able to save the settings on your hard drive (probably because of insufficient permission-reasons).

Re: Invulnerable sounds!

Hello Kriegsspieler, I am happy to hear that you have come back to Aggressors:) Would you mind to tell me more about this: I please suggest that you add to the list of bug fixes one that will PERMANENTLY allow you to disable the music and sounds in the game? I find it annoying that every time I load...

Re: How do these items work?

Also, when I click on the provided link, I get, "page not found"? I am sorry about that I just corrected the link. Using more food then you are bringing in. Passing the pointer over food when trading will show a negative number. Usually food is around 25 or so - a very small stock pile - so, unless...

Re: How do these items work?

Hello lordhoff, here is the answer you are looking for. For Trireme, Blitz can be obtained in battle only. You probably gained this in one of the battles before. I am not sure what do you mean that you have negative food. You can never have any resources in negative numbers. The only thing you can h...

Re: Victory?

Hello lordhoff,
you can still finish the game and see in the final history replay what happened. You should be able to find it in the list of historical events.

Re: Victory?

Hmm I cannot say for sure but if there was no such notice that you are getting closer to the military victory, it might be related to some kind of big event like broken federation or plague happened the previous turn?

Re: Can I end 'Homeland Movement' without ending all agreements?

Hello Jack, it is not possible. You should think about the list of agreed treaties as something like "current agreement". You cannot just pick the cherries. If you are not happy with the the overall status, you can propose changes (which you probably did) or cancel the whole agreement. It is kind of...

Re: Crash Report

Hello lordhoff, the report arrived and I sent you a quick fix how to play the game game again. It seems like there is a corrupted file on your PC for whatever reason. Could you please go to this folder CC:\Users\ XXX \appdata\Roaming\Kubat Software\Aggressors Ancient Rome\ (where XXX is your windows...

Re: No Hoplites for Sparta?

Massilia is the only nation which is able to build greek army type and "barbarian" army type from the beginning. They used to hire mercenaries from north. I probably cannot give you any advice on particular situation but I would really advice to start easy with a bit more powerful faction. Once you ...

Re: No Hoplites for Sparta?

You can dock your boat in any coastal town which make it safe.
All the factions in game were tested on normal difficulty if player can win with them and it is possible.

You should also train your units with improvements and take advantage of terrain which is in favour of your army type.

Re: No Hoplites for Sparta?

There were number of reasons why we decided to do it this way: Like I said we wanted to emphasise the importance of Crete and in general the whole "islands" culture. Because of you need to transport your units back and forth from Crete, you are "busy" even in the beginning of the game, which makes i...

Re: No Hoplites for Sparta?

Hello PDiFolco, welcome to the forum and thank you for purchase!:) Playing Sparta as a first faction is very bold decision especially when you play on normal or higher difficulty (where all the features are already turned on). I would really recommend to play one of the "Big three" and also go throu...

Re: Is there a way to tone down shipwrecks et al

This is one of my biggest gripes with the game. I have been playing on the hardest settings and the AI still builds cavalry far too often (I reckon about 90% cavalry to 10% infantry). It is very likely less but when a unit is damaged, AI withdraws it from the battlefield, which is easier with caval...

Re: Is there a way to tone down shipwrecks et al

Hello lordhoff, good to see that you keep enjoying Aggressors:) Let me answer your questions: 1. Shipwrecks are a love/hate thing with me. I like that they happen but don't like how often. Heck, I had one fleet that got hit five turns in a row! I'm guessing that means that damage (if not totally sun...

Re: Are there Penalties for not providing emegency aid?

Hello jack54, it is very wise to wait with reconstruction of buildings till it is clear that you will be able to keep them. Apart from lower production (if mines are not repaired) or zero production (when they are broken) there is no penalty when you leave them unrepaired. Furthermore if you repair ...

If you are also registered on Matrix forum, I would suggest to post it also there. I hope you...
