And I forgot

Proscription - also helps on population pressure.
I haven't tried proscription yet, but I'll give it a go. Thanks.

Re: Dracarys!

Thanks Surt, there's at least a couple of things in there that I haven't tried. And the 'abandon province' option had completely passed me by!

Re: Dracarys!

It's one of the 'Regional Decisions' - click the icon in the top right hand corner.
NB It doesn't always appear on the drop-down list, but it's regularly added as an option.

Dracarys!

I know this is history rather than fantasy. But I wonder if I'm the only player who's dreamed of a Dracarys option to incinerate those interminably rebellious cities that just won't calm down - however many goodies I give them? Just call me Dany, and send for the men in white suits (or possibly Jon ...

Re: Winkling out Macedonians???

If "their score has gone up", then they must have a region still generating Legacy, if that is what you mean by score. Go to the Ledger icon and click "Legacy". If Macedonia has a Legacy total, but all other columns are zeroes, then they have been annihilated "most". They should eventually make a p...

Winkling out Macedonians???

Sorry if the answer to this is obvious, but I haven't found it yet so I thought I'd ask on here! I'm playing the Romans, and we've more or less annihilated the Macedonians. I say "more or less", because the last few Macedonian military units have managed to hole up - with their Pergamum allies - on ...

Re: Possible to mod quality of national leaders?

You mean rulers, not generals? I think following file sets out their generating process. \Field of Glory Empires\Data\scripts\Ruler.bsf As far as I can see, their process is randomized and no faction-wise tweak (like making Romans more likely to have competent ruler) is possible. Hi Femto, Yes, rul...

Possible to mod quality of national leaders?

Hi folks,

I'm wondering if it's possible to tweak the quality of the national leaders that get assigned during the game (presumably randomly)? Either for a single faction or for all factions?

Thanks.

Modding Region Owner At Start-up?

Hi folks, I've been trying to see whether I can mod the game to re-assign a region at start-up of a new scenario from one owning faction to another. So far I've altered in the Regions.csv file the columns P and Q, which are for Faction and TAG_of_owning_Faction_in_this_scenario respectively. As a tr...

Best defence against raids?

Hi folks, I've currently got a large Roman Empire to defend, and I'm trying to work out how to best defend against enemy raids. Even with a few units (mix of unit types) stationed in each border region, I still seem to get successfully raided on a regular basis (with local buildings destroyed and th...

Re: The Trouble With Latium...

its generic, just that it can happen at Latium for a couple of reasons. Rome tends to an aggressive start (so generates slaves) and you have a lot of demands on your early building slots (so not always easy to fit in a slave market to take the load). I think this is compounded as usually only Taren...

Re: The Trouble With Latium...

Loyalty will fall if you have a too high population and notably too many citizens. Be sure to have enough slave markets in your empire to have often the decision to disperse or sell your slaves, as the conquests you make will send them all to your capital if you don't have slave markets. Also, buil...

Re: The Trouble With Latium...

A slave revolt in Rome could be fun to remove slave population, Pocus are right Interesting, thanks for posting that! Although there seem to be ways to overcome the problem, I am a bit troubled by what the situation represents from a historical point of view. To have Rome degenerate into zero perce...

Re: The Trouble With Latium...

Sell some of those slaves and get rid of the slaver's market there. Funnily enough, I've been very exercised about the slavery issue... I haven't built ANY slave markets, and I've sold off any Slave Markets that I've inherited via conquest. When I get the Slavery option to "Sell slaves to th...

The Trouble With Latium...

I've played Rome a few times against the AI and always end up with a Loyalty issue in Latium, even if the city is doing well and stuffed full of nice buildings. I'm currently in 4 AD and despite having shunted workers into cultural production and producing a stackload of cultural improvements, I've ...
