Re: Advance after combat (bombardment)
Yes, it may seem a minor issue, but sometimes forces the player to think counter-productive.

Re: Initial thoughts/issues
I'd much rather see some permanent visual aid to differ units. Like colouring:

Re: Campaign Game Ends at Turn 11 of 31
No, there's no problem in that case. I simply reached my victory conditions. It,s a little disheartening, though, because the Union side was by no means defeated other than by points. I would much prefer if there could be an option at this stage to either (1) accept the win, or (2) forfeit the victo...

Re: Campaign Game Ends at Turn 11 of 31
Japp, same result. Played Campaign for CSA. After turn 11 the game ends. It was a confederate victory. Does this count as an Campaign Victory; i.e. no further battle takes place? It could of course make some sense, even though it is a little disappointing. Or is it some kind of bug?

Advance after combat (bombardment)
I had one sligthly annoying incident. With two inantry units poised for assault on an enemy Victory Point Hex, I decided to take an artillery shot at it too. The bombardment cleared the defenders from the hex. This prevented the attack from happening, why my attacking units had no way of taking the ...

Re: Campaign Game Ends at Turn 11 of 31
This happened for me too, pre-patch, I may add. I was playing the CSA. I assumed it was I who had chosen the wrong scenario at start.

Okey. Can't see any difference from before, but I suppose it's fine.

Re: Map
Oh, I will. I'm very happy with this game, but haven't started the full campaign yet for want of the patch. The map is very fine, so the reason for modding it would just be the fun of it. I would like to see some colour tint on different Corps, though; feeleing that colour is more distinctive to the...

Re: Please fix the regular Gettysburg forum
I think he means that if you go to the Slitherine Forums and try to get into Gettysburg, it says you're not authorized. On the other hand, if you go to Matrix forums first, click on Gettysburg there, you will be re-directed to Slitherine and can, oddly enough, enter the Gettysburg Forum. The reason ...

Re: Healing Units
I was under the impression that "empty boxes" meant demoralazed and that lost "boxes" were removed from unit. How are one supposed to tell demoralized from loss?
EDIT: Made some tests. I'm now sure that "dead" soldiers' box is removed; demorilized soldiers' box remain, but empty.

Re: Fog of War
Side with those who wish for a FoW system for PBEM-play. If this is the first game in a series of battles, this feature must be seriously considered. A lot of generalship in this period were guessing and out-guessing; having FoW in the game would add immensely to the PBEM-battles. That said, just as...

Map
I have searched in vain for the map image, coming to the conclusion that it must be hard-coded. Can anyone confirm that modding the map (or units) is impossible?

Yes, I would like to see this too. In dense situations, visible hexes would be a great help.

DoW and production
Will a countrys production alter when they go to war (are being attacked), or is it pre-set whatever other occurrences? I was thinking that in a PBEM-game the players could, by mutual consent, declare war on Italy (Allies) and USSR/USA (Axis) and thereby release those countries to move units in anti...
