Re: tercios with bow

Excellent, thats how we flew it (in my first game of FoG R since Beta testing)

Seven 12 base Tercios are quite tough, but sadly seemed to lack enough oomph to really kill stuff

though I shall continue to work on a list

Re: tercios with bow

1 and 2: I think you are referring to the restrictions on mixed battlegroups in that list, rather than the (non) restrictions on tercios from 1584 (bullet points 4 and 5 on the same page) 3: the definition of protection refers to 'any medium foot with shooting capability' which i think includes bow....

tercios with bow

Im sure the army is pants, but too much black adder makes me want to try Elizabethan English which raises some questions for me a late tercio, with 6 pike, 3 bow and 3 arquebus 1 - can the bow and arquebus be in mixed ranks (eg a file of arq, bw, bw) - i cant find anything to stop that 2- if so can ...

Re: Britcon 2014 Thread - including the Nemesis Challenge

now i need to find some figures

Re: Roll Call 2014 21-22 June, Cranfield

Is that really a lesson from v2?
well I thought I had an idea of what I was doing under V1. V2 has shown that no, I dont.

Re: Roll Call 2014 21-22 June, Cranfield

I shall see if I can organise the time... Bren was very impressed by my ability to kill my own troops. Our exploding elephants particularly amused him. The one time I had control, lost impact, 1 on the death roll, leading to opposing elephants (that had been charged) breaking through into the flank ...

Re: Roll Call 2014 21-22 June, Cranfield

Thanks for all being so nice to Bren this weekend - Im not sure I managed to impress him with my virtuoso performance ........

I think I did better than that in my first ever DBM tournament 12 years ago. more practice needed!

when did you say Oxford has their weekend games?

Re: Roll Call 2014 21-22 June, Cranfield

would anybody object if I entered and ran my army akin to doubles with Ben (Cummins jr) as his first intro to FOG?

Shifting to FOG 2

After a year or so of getting Cummins Jr to play war FOW, he has now spotted the glory that is ancients, and wants to play FOG (well done BHGS Challenge) Having not played for a couple of years and no idea on V2 could somebody give me a brief run down on the changes v1 to 2 are the army lists still ...

10 mm figures

a question - do 10 mm minis on 15mm bases do the job?

I know Nigel took 10mm to Britcon - any problems/complaints about the style?

from FOW back to FOG

After a year of pushing around tanks, and now BF has shot themselves in the face....

I think I may be back to playing FOG

so...

when are we going to see FOG2 - soon enough that I can use that as my personal excuse to get back in the game?
