Re: confused : large formations and Teutonic knights

Well you said it yourself "its about 12-15% (percent changes because thats how game works)". From the manual again: Note that the Win:Draw:Lose chances are estimates calculated from a sample of 1000 test resolutions of the combat in question – so each time they are recalculated the result may be sl...

Re: confused : large formations and Teutonic knights

1) The Teutonic knights have an Experience and Elan rating of 225, so they only just fall into the Highly Superior category. Therefore they have a +12 POA advantage over ordinary knights in melee and impact. They are slightly better off, but not by much. 2) From Section 13.1 in the manual: In shoot...

confused : large formations and Teutonic knights

1. teutonic knights have about 13-15% to win vs vs knights and seargents and kinghts and seargents have also about 15% to win vs teutons. How is that possible , teutons should have 10-15 more POA they are highly superior 2. Large spearmen (those with 3 rows) have exact same chances to win /lose agai...

Fog2 Realism, Impact, Wounded,Dead etc

the claim is this ( not my claim ) : Field of glory 2 is not doing a good job of representing behaviour and reality on the field in the aftermath of a successful or successful enough cavalry charge (charge on infantry). Their view is that if the spearmen lose the impact phase, they must almost alwa...

Re: Multiplayer QoL

i think that if they create real time version of the turn based system that both systems will be used. PBEM++ maybe a bit more tho. i personally will be using it as i see fit , depending on my time constraints. By default tho, its Real time for me the biggest concern i have for real time battles (tu...

thinking of buying PC2 - a question

since i only play mutliplayer strategy games i went to check on the official discord and it seems that there is 0 multiplayer there. are the vast majority of the mp games organized directly in the game lobby or is it some other discord server? that said, is multiplayer alive? by alive i mean can i p...

Elite/Above Average Skirmishers with Some armor or protected

i know there probably arent but are there any such units in the game currently?

Would it be viable to add something like that in the future dlcs for medieval?

Offensive vs Defensive Spearmen

Why would i ever take defensive spearmen over offensive ones. provided i can choose

Only instance i can think of is if defensive spearmen are armoured , but in essence their "defensive trait" is just a penatly from a perspective of min maxing

Re: I am not a fan of the terrain art

what will break or make this game is the faction uniqueness (first gameplay wise and balance , as well as how the actual models* look and how many of them are). even if its bug ridden , we know it ll get fixed as fast as possible and art style is of secondary importance imo (UI and terrain). i do ho...

Re: I am not a fan of the terrain art

for once i m thankful devs in general usually do not change their mind/plan when they are close to the release. i would be dissapointed if they did not pursuit this new style and reverted back to the old one. i d even argue make it even more unique/different that it is now if you can

Re: I am not a fan of the terrain art

i wish the UI was richer tho. yes its good but its barebones. Best example is when you select a unit, it shows it in 3d on a black background (same idea in Endless legend, gladius and other games ). A richer experience imo is to have a separate unique 2d picture of each unit (think of battle for midd...

Re: I am not a fan of the terrain art

i cant disagree more, and i m probably the biggest complainer around here. i just Love the new look. That said this is subjective to a degree. my liking of the new look is probably tied to my preferance for "clean, easy to draw a line" preffernce in graphics, enviroments. Old fog looked kinda washed ...

Knights and Sergeants

i m asking partly because i want to know how In real life it worked and partly because how game's logic work. So what are knights and Sergeants, can you give me some Political and economic or social background to them, and also what do they represent on the actual field physically? (took me 4 edits ...

I hope I am not angering the powers by answering. As far as I can tell: Galwegian Foot Highlanders Baltic Foot Picked Baltic Foot Note that these are all Medium Warriors, so they do well in terrain, but suffer extra negative cohesion in the Open against shock troops, and have a tendency to uncontro...
