Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and more.

For anyone interested, the Kettendradshutzen (Kettenkrad based infantry, similar to the Kradshuzten). Its based on the already existing Sdkfz 2 icon, mixed with bits from the Kradshutzen. I gave it identical stats to the Kradshutzen (and all variants) but with the halftrack movement type and speed o...

Re: Sdkfz 2 Kettenkrad

I present my first completed icon, the Kettendradshutzen. Its based on the already existing Sdkfz 2 icon, mixed with bits from the Kradshutzen. I gave it identical stats to the Kradshutzen (and all variants) but with the halftrack movement type and speed of seven. I use the normal Sdkfz 2 icon for t...

Re: Changing unit icons?

Yes, pretty much. Like i said you may want to save the icon you intend to replace before hand in a separate folder, in case you change your mind.

Re: Changing unit icons?

Just change the icon with a new one? There are two ways to do this, either: If you already have the new icon, then find the Units folder under graphics, add the new icon pic to that folder. Then in the data file, find the unit that your replacing the icon of and change the icon name to the name of ...

Re: Sdkfz 2 Kettenkrad

The Tank Encyclopedia states: "The first units equipped with the SdKfz 2 were not paratroopers but regular Wehrmacht infantry units, often scout detachments . Largely available by the beginning of 1941, They were put in action during the summer of 1941 (operation barbarossa). Most of them served on...

Sdkfz 2 Kettenkrad

I found a basic icon for the small transport Sdkfz 2 Kettenkrad (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sd.Kfz._2). It works well as a light transport for airborne troops. Additionally it could be used as a form of high-mobility infantry like the Kradshutzen (motorcycle infantry). It would have similar stats...

Re: Role of Converted Tank Engineering Vehicles

I found some more information on the Pioneer Panzer III (as it is called). "It was an unallowed field-modification of 3x PzKpfw III Ausf. M, 2x PzKpfw III Ausf. N and 8x PzKpfw III kz ordered by the commander of XXXXVII. PzKrps in July 1943. Eleven belonged to sPzAbt 505 and two to the 2. PzDiv. Arm...

Re: Role of Converted Tank Engineering Vehicles

If used as a transport you could make it expensive, say 200-300 prestige. This would dissuade most players from buying many and reflect the real life tank shortages Germany suffered during the later war.
Alternatively you could add a mine roller to it and use it as a minesweepr tank.

Re: Role of Converted Tank Engineering Vehicles

The question of the vehicles role boils down to how the germans used it. i can find little specific information aside from "combat engineering." This would include demolitions, construction, repairing roads/bridges, removing obstacles and other similar things. The Panzer III version carried more or ...

Re: Role of Converted Tank Engineering Vehicles

Excellent icons, thank you. So, you think it should be used as a transport for Pioneers/bridge engineers? It looks like a bridge-laying tank: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armoured_vehicle-launched_bridge#World_War_II_and_subsequent_use The pictured vehicle only carried a light bridge, the dedicate...

Role of Converted Tank Engineering Vehicles

I've been doing some research on obscure variants of German tanks and came across the Pionierpanzer III. http://guerra-abierta.blogspot.com/2015/02/pionierpanzer-iii.html This converted tank had its turret removed and interior modified to carry engineering tools, as well as a small pontoon. Would su...

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and more.

It's year or two since I made any icons so this will probably lack detail. I use Paint.net. Avoiding white borders involves adjusting the selection settings so that you exclude as much background colur as possible. Be prepared to make several selections and try adjusting the settings for the second...

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and more.

I attempted to make my first icon, the 35.5 Haubitze M1 (a super heavy artillery piece of Germany; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/35.5_cm_Haubitze_M1). 35.5cm Haubitze M1.png It comes out a bit rough in the game when i convert it, having a white outline. Any tips for improving it? Here's the original...

Re: 30 cm Nebelwerfer Defensive Fire Glitch?

I ran several tests on this, i lowered the soft attack score on the 30 cm nebelwerfer by 1 until it was at 26. At 26 the casualty prediction changed from -4 to 0, to -9 to 0. I had the british unit attack with both versions of the Nebelwerfer defensive firing and compared the combat details. The det...
