Re: WW2 From the German Perspective (New Documentary)

Because I stupidly decided to get involved in this, let me endorse pewp3w's point. Without surprise, same goes for me. Then you talk about how bad shermans were. The shermans were probably the best medium tank in world war two. Although I of course agree with all your other points, and give thanks ...

Re: WW2 From the German Perspective (New Documentary)

It's all true. The Sherman wasn't the best tank, but it was the one that could be made in large numbers. And in WW2 that was the winning move. Numbers, Numbers, Numbers Everything is summarized in these three words. The point I was trying to make was that I couldn't imagine Germany winning against t...

Re: WW2 From the German Perspective (New Documentary)

You'll have to pardon my enthusiasm, but in my book the Sherman tanks were all but pathetic. They were extremely adapted to the war they were asked to fight. Easy to build, easy to maintain on the field, deployable in large numbers, not too large nor too small, very nimble. Here´s the comparison u ...

Re: WW2 From the German Perspective (New Documentary)

The Americans-Allies... had very-significant "Artillery" & "Airpower".. . the "Airpower included "Typhoon-Fighter-Bombers" which fired Rocket-Missiles at the German-Tanks and destroyed them with relative ease. The other Allied aircraft as well contributed to t...

Re: WW2 From the German Perspective (New Documentary)

The Sherman Tank was easy to maintain and fix quickly and easily and was not prone to "Mechanical Failure" or breaking down easily as were the German Tanks. This is where the Sherman-Tank was "Superior!". Exactly my point! The Germans did deploy tanks that were technically super...

I support this idea wholeheartedly. I have copied all the scenarios in the scenario folder, so it kinda acts as mission select, but the game still look for some campaign-variables in some scenarios, leading to potential bugs

Re: ao'45 and pacific status

I saw the Steam thread as well. I am very excited for the Pacific theater but I figured it would simply have to wait a few more months/years. At least they gave us an update and a reassurance that they are still working on it, so we are not left in the dark, as is sometimes the case. That said, I ca...

Re: WW2 From the German Perspective (New Documentary)

Interesting! So!... instead of a senseless 3-pronged assault on Russia based on a crippling-deficient lack of supplies for a continuous sustained assault... if instead... the "Crux" of German efforts were forcefully redirected initially towards the most-pressing priority of occupying the C...

Re: Can the AI embark units across the sea without being scripted?

AI currently will only embark/disembark when scripted to do so. Ah ok! Thank you for the information. To get around ur dilemma u could set more than one Embark/disembark order for the AI units and then randomize then with the LUA. That could be a good workaround! I've actually never scripted for Pz...

Can the AI embark units across the sea without being scripted?

Hi, I am making a simple scenario where the player (Allies) and the AI (Axis) are both on a different landmass, and must invade each other. I have added naval transports to the transport pool for both players. As the human player, I can embark my units at a port and land them on the enemy landmass w...

Re: Why do you still stick with the OG Panzer Corps?

PzC1 has this "lightness" to it that I find more appealing than PzC2. It's lighter in size, less resource-intensive, easier to mod, and it just plays better. Just moving your units and attacking other units is more satisfying, it feels less "heavy" than PzC2. Also those explosion...

Re: Campaign Trees

Its good there is no branching otherwise there are maps you never play unless you cheat to get through it in a decisive or you intentionally do not get a decisive to get a regular victory etc. I agree with this. I do not like the feeling of completing a campaign but not having experiencing all of i...

Yes! I'm really happy with the direction of that DLC. That aircraft carrier with yellow lines on its flight deck in the last picture is really cool... can't wait to play these DLCs! Also, "Allies Defiant" is a great name for such a DLC, it reinforces the feeling that the stakes are high an...

Re: Map Scale and Size/Make Up of Units

As others have mentioned, map scale is very flexible in OOB... some game mechanics throws any "real life logic" out of the window for good though, in order to make for better/more fluid gameplay. For example airplanes stay up in the air for 10+ turns which is, all in all, absurd if one is ...
