Thanks 76mm and stockwellpete. I've deleted them. Not sure why I didn't see the X before.
I agree 76mm, not sure they should have no turn limit. Or at least darkness should be reflected in the game.

No stalemates allowed?
For the first time, my opponent and I ended up a Historical battle (Emesa) at 59% at the end of turn 24. To our surprise the game continued until he manage to catch a fragmented archer on turn 27 or 28 and the game ended. How long would it have continued otherwise, until someone wins? Are stalemates...

Re: Routing Mechanics
A screenshot would be good, because I don't understand what you are describing, a routing unit only stops if it rallies to fragmented, and it cannot rally until the pursuers stop pursuing! It won't happen in our current game (Clontarf, so no horse) but I'll keep an eye out for it and post a pic. (i...

Re: Routing Mechanics
Yes, I meant exactly that the router flees for 2-3 turns, for example, and then stops for some number of turns, or permanently but the pursuing horse stays locked in pursuit the whole time. I've seen this happen times over the course of hundreds of MP games over the last three or so years, that I wo...

Re: Routing Mechanics
3) It isn't a set five turns. There's a % chance to stop after the first turn of pursuit. And it's not an automatic cohesion drop already, just your standard guaranteed +50POA for charging an unengaged unit in the flank. This brings up my pet peeve about routing/pursuing. That is, I regularly see b...

movement bug?
I really don't understand this, I can move to the remote position but not anywhere along the way:
which prevents me from protecting the exposed unit.
which prevents me from protecting the exposed unit.

LOS question
I've seen this many times, in the pick below my light unit is at 100', the 4 light horse archers are at 150' and the hilltop is 200'. Yet all 4 have a clear shot at him. It's unclear how they can shoot normally at him, except with blind indirect fire.

Why no secure SSL connection to the Slitherine forums

Re: Return of pursuing madness
I'm ok with the "pursuing madness" even though I'm regularly caught out with it. The pursuit issue that I find frustrating is when a cav unit is pursuing another unit that after 2-3 turns stops routing for 3-4 turns, leaving the pursuing unit very exposed and vulnerable, frozen in place. My feeling...

Re: Rus and Khazar(Pechenegs) could be allies in 941
The Khazars and the Pechenegi were two different groups, the former being a very heterogeneous confederacy and the most powerful economic entity (slave trade mostly) in the Black Sea littoral and north of the Caucases at the time. The latter were an Oghuz Turkic tribal organization. The Rus, which a...

Re: Multiplayer issue - corrupt or invalid response from server
Fwiw - my problem is now solved. I went on to the main slitherine site and changed my password. Once I did that and accessed the multiplayer page, I got a message that an update was required ( to ,18). After I installed the update, I could connect fine. The weird thing is that despite playing multi...

Re: Remove the Head battles
Thanks for the response. I guess for our games we'll just have to agree in advance that if a player's CinC routs off the field, that player concedes the game.
