Re: Anzio Beachhead by conboy

All, I pulled down the Anzio link -- there's a basic flaw in the victory/defeat conditions I set up for the scenario (the only possible outcome is a draw) AND the current version can't be played properly with the paratroopers running ahead of the regular regiments even if you can accept the beshat v...

@Bru, thanks for the thorough review. I very much appreciate the time you spent on this -- it must be quite a strange specimen! I'll get back to you with notes and such when the dust clears around here a little bit. But for now I'll just say that the scenario editor is a freakish piece of work that ...

Re: Anzio Beachhead by conboy

I have updated the scenario based on comments from players and moderators: Link (also updated on introductory post): http://www.mediafire.com/file/r1f6d402p58n2a7/Anzio_Beachhead_1.1.zip/file Changes incorporated:+ * scoped down air battle at beach * fixed triggers and victory/defeat criteria * redu...

what is the proper way to announce an update to a custom scenario?

I have updated the Anzio Beach scenario and reposted it for pickup at the link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/r1f6d402p58n2a7/Anzio_Beachhead_1.1.zip/file and I have updated the discussion page where the link is posted to describe the modifications effected. Is there a formal way to announce scenari...

Re: Erik's Multiplayer scenarios

Erik and I just completed playing each side of Road to Moscow 4.2. I spanked him playing the Soviet side and about 10 turns later won the victory on the German side. So this is balanced. It's also a blast -- really good OoB stuff. Lots of air (of course, it's an Erik scenario) and you'll find many w...

Re: Erik's Multiplayer scenarios

@Marcel, I have the same problem -- Erik is aware of it and so are the Devs and the other Moderators. Hopefully the new patch will fix the issue. The problem is you can issue challenges fine but cannot join a challenge. This is only for custom scenarios, the Slitherine scenarios work just fine. I go...

Re: Best use of engineers

They are also quite useful in preparing defenses in that they assist other units in digging in more rapidly and can temporarily fill breaches if positioned properly. They can blow bridges, which I recently found useful in Dubno PvP. They are extremely useful (if not the best) in house-to-house fight...

can issue a challenge but not join one -- any ideas?

Hidee-ho. It looks like I can download a custom scenario and issue it but I can't join the same. See figure -- have issued a challenge for 1v1 Poland_1939 3.1 but can't join one. Note both are on the challenge list. Mine's at the top and the other one I'd like to join is second from the bottom. I be...

Re: Duplex's Scenarios (Berlin 1945 1.1.3)

Update v1.1.3 for Berlin 1945: - Location names added for some airfields - airfield added, another one moved - more German planes in hangars - aviation fuel trigger tweaked - more decorations lol - Biesdorf hex linked - American planes moved - more American planes - more deployment/undeploy hexes f...

can't start PvP

Ok joined a 3-player scenario - started fine but can't move any troops or start any combat actions. Anybody have any idea what's up with this? Scenario opens fine, can clik on all combat units, they just don't move or shoot or get off the runway.

Something wrong with save as replay?

Just got through getting spanked by Fabio in Erik's Road to Dnepropetrovsk so I wanted to send a copy of the saved replay to Erik. I went through the prompts at the end of the game and it saved as a .sav file, not a .rec file so there is no way it can be shared now. It's supposed to save as a .rec f...

One more thing, Erik, I probably won't finish my turn for several hours due to cigar and sunset hours.

Erik, I am very happy to play this match! One more request though, please issue a challenge for this match for me to try on the russian side to see if I can join the challenge.

Re: IS OOB really and truely dead?

I concur with Erik. I'd very much like to see a Soviet v AI series of campaigns the same depth as the German v AI. Also, western front and Italian campaigns from the Allied perspective. I think the game is better than any other on the market, despite its flaws which are openly discussed here. Panzer...

Re: 1v1 plays in hotseat but not PBEM

Hmmm... I was able to set one up too. My problem is joining a challenge, I think. Could you check the Multiplayer PBEM and try to join the Road to Moscow challenge I posted? You don't have to play it, just see if you can join it. If you can, then I'll know the problem is at my end. I have deleted it...
