Re: CSI Sweep: US 3d Infantry Division

Bru, As I said, I thought it was a huge (unfairly so) request for you to sweep a whole campaign. But I must say I was confident in it, with 5 good players going from front to back on it, on two different Beta versions. I need to put on my own big boy pants and check it again myself one last time. So...

Re: scenario editor help please for newbie

Yes, every primary objective needs a reciprocal for the enemy. Secondaries don't need one unless they are turn-count sensitive (so the players know they missed the objective.) So it really complicates scenario set up. BTW if you have lots of objectives, for this reason it's best to use the victory f...

Re: scenario editor help please for newbie

Try setting the objective for Check Turn, <5, not end of scenario. That way, when the hex is taken, the game should end. If you have it set for end of scenario, it has to go to the end of the turn limit. Also, you have to go to the Mission Tab and set the objectives for both sides. In this case, you...

Re: CSI Sweep: US 3d Infantry Division

Well, I must say in gratitude that you have given me, and us, a great deal of time and sweat to make these campaigns, scenarios, and forum comments a beneficial and rewarding place for us all. I know that you must get tired of going over the same old stuff with me again and again, but don't think I ...

Re: CSI Sweep: US 3d Infantry Division

Thanks very much, Bru! I always learn so much from these sweeps and this will help the campaign a lot. Some of these issues you raise were bugging me when I developed the scenario but I didn't know how to deal with them, except bludgeon through it and if it works in the end it's okay. But there are ...

Re: CSI Sweep: US 3d Infantry Division

Thanks, Bru -- due to your prodding, I have an idea for Peter now. Thanks, these tips will obviously help the scenario, needless to say. I had a great deal of trouble with this one, and it is the least representative of all the scenarios. Honestly, I wish the 3d ID had started their war in Sicily --...

Bru, Thanks very much for taking the time. Needless to say, I'll be following this extremely closely! I'll respond with a list of your recommendations and my resulting actions. Thanks again! conboy ps - the skip to 17 Sieg2 was intentional - the original kept blowing up on me because I tried to trim...

Karis said
So I'm guessing don't reload even once unless you want to be banned?
I have had to reload in a tournament at least once because of crashes. So I think that's a bit too much.
And I think you should observe the opponent's turn only once as it is replayed and not reload.

Yep those hi pired new computers need to staked down real good 'fore ye light them awf.

Better get the power company to wire it directly to the transformer to keep from glitching the neighborhood, and get a big barn fan to keep it cool. It's a hawwg, after awl.

Great to have you back!

Re: US 3d ID Beta Round 2

Dwightd, I tried not to make it too challenging! Gabe says it's about in line with the OoB DLCs. I hope I hit the sweet spot overall. I was aiming for the average player. ColonelY, Erik, Navman, Mascarenhas, and GabeKnight made it all the way through, so I had lots of good feedback from players of v...

Re: Units unable to attack poor explanation poor tutorial

I used to play a lot of Unity of Command before I switched to PzC. I only played PzC that for a little while because I missed the supply aspect and the PzC graphics were goofy - units looked superb but they weren't fun when they moved. So when I gave OoB a try, I thought it was a great compromise be...

Thank you Dwightd! Hope the campaign doesn't let you down. For a preview, try my scenarios - http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=374&t=93288&hilit=le+tholy&start=100#p797665 They're all in the campaign, except for Anzio, which I divided into three different scenarios for the campaign.
