Roll Call 2020

Roll Call will return to our usual venue in Cranfield on the weekend of 4th & 5th April 2020/

We're currently finalising details for the themes and periods, with a view to having tickets on sale by the time Warfare comes around.

Re: Roll Call 2020..?

The idea came up because of the popularity of the one day events you and Tom are running at Oxford relative to the popularity of the two-day event at Roll Call. All of your 1-day events in Wolvercote are regularly attracting more players than the 2-day event at Roll Call has achieved in any of the l...

Given the popularity of the Oxford events, it may be both possible and sensible to look to run a 1-day event for FoGR at Roll Call next year

Re: Oxford 25mm competition - Sunday 6th October

Cool. Will get on with the list building then...

(If we look like having odd numbers however I woudl be willing to step out, as there's another event on the same day I could go to instead)

Quick & dirty Landesknechts with (gulps..) Contrast Paints!

You know those painting projects that seem never to die? They just drag on and on, staring at you and each time you start trying to move them along the sheer quantity of painting ends up crushing your will to continue? Well, for me that was a big winged-Keil of Landsnechts in 28mm, bought for FoGR i...

Re: Oxford Events 2019 - Colonial Sunday June 9th

Very difficult indeed.... what with the +1 on death tests, the fact they are at + POA to pretty much everything in all rounds of combat - and once you add in Generals attached (rallying them up each turn) it kinda felt like you needed either to ping them with artillery as otherwise you'd then have t...
