Amazing Discovery!

So I just found out that like in P&S, if you press Shift+3 you get an uber close ground level view of your army! Absolutely beautiful! Richard and gang, you did an absolutely wonderful job on the figure models. Thumbs up!

So those DDOS, are they medium or heavy, light spear or sword, protected or armored? What's your best unit to match up against them? ;)

+1 I'm hoping the next iteration of P&S(whichever period it covers)gives us the option of realistically playing the game on this view.

Re: How to play an Ottoman army (Great Turkish War)

kvnrthr, Pixel and Snugglebunnies answers are spot on(and are two really good P&S players, if my bruised ego is correct. ;) ) I rarely play AS the Turks, but really play a lot against them. This is one way to find out their strengths and weaknesses. My personal advice to play them is this: Max out M...

Re: Fatigue

Good answers all, thanks. Why I ask is that an acquaintance of mine is into historical reenactment of this period. He is a 'piker' and after about an hour of 'fighting' his arms are toast(and he's fairly fit). So I would imagine that with fighting ,poking, slugging and marching, after a full days ba...

Morale

How is morale represented in this game? I'm assuming cohesion states are not the representation of this(more a representation of combat effectiveness I assume).

Fatigue

How is fatigue portraited in this game? I play a few other digital games(in this era) by other companies(HPS, John Tiller etc.)and fatigue is represented fairly realistically I feel. Are there internal algorithms within the game that portrait this? Just curious.

Re: 1660+ Horse

SnuggleBunnies, Thanks, that was exactly what I was looking for! If o.k. with you, can I copy and paste this on to a word document on my P.C? So if I'm reading you right, Horse(Shock) are the real primo units whether armored or not? I just played a game of Louis XIV's French vs appropriate Dutch ene...

1660+ Horse

Can anyone be so kind as to give me a primer for the correct use of Horse in the Roi Soleil Era. I've been playing the Italian Wars era and pre-1600 era a lot and horse then is so different from the much later eras. Kind of flummoxed as to their correct usage and match-ups. Any and all tips apprecia...

Cracking an enemy unit by shooting it to death...

So, I'm not sure if this is a question for RBS or veteran players of this game. I realize that a combination of shooting(lets say with bows or arquebus) and cannon is a great way to crack a units cohesion causing it to drop a level or two. My question is, is there a reasonable way to determine the e...

Wars of the 18th Century using...

...the P&S format. The P&S experience is so well done and so robust, that it seems like a shoe in for the wars of the 18th Century. I figure starting with Frederick the Great's Seven Years War, eventually encompassing all other conflicts of that century.
