Anybody notice those little 5 man units in the top Irish-Viking jpeg? They aren't skirmishers.
Berserkers perhaps ?

Re: Problem of Byzantine complexity.....

If you are revolting with a rabble force against soldiers you have to set up a custom battle with numbers in your favor if you want to win.

Re: vakarr Custom Battles: Mercenaries and Allies Mod v1

Re: Classical Antiquity: winners post your results here . . .

Div B Paulmcneil Armenians defeats Xlegione Galatians 55:29 Go figure. I suppose 2 mountain ranges, 2 lakes, 2 forests, and 2 hills may have given the Armenian archers and med inf a slight advantage. Oh OK it was almost entirely down to the terrain. You had my blessing too. Your win is my win.

Division B

Hendricus (Romans) beat paulmcneil (Armenian,Tigranes) 66-38

First there was a fight between the Hastati and Cataphracts and after that the Romans had to storm a small hill with difficult slopes. Such a small hill can hold a lot of troops.

Division B

Hendricus (Romans) beats oscarius (Greaco-Bactrians) 62-47

Two towering mountains with a small strip of hilly rough woody and some clear spots, with room for a third of the armies, so those armies lined up in depth and then with helmets on went straight for each other.

Re: Classical Antiquity: winners post your results here . . .

Division B devoncop (Hannibal in Africa) just beat Hendricus (Roman) 63% to 45% with 2 turns remaining. Thanks to my opponent who fought well in unfavourable terrain for the Romans. Must be that Hannibal again, keeping my scouts busy with some easy girls. So the army was suddenly in difficult terra...

Division B Hendricus (Romans) beats XLegione (Galatians) 52-26 After the Galatian doing an impression of a wrecking ball and in one swift move breaking the Roman centre and swiping away the medium reserve behind it the Romans held their breath but repaired the hole and did there own demolition. It w...

SpeedyCM - Greeks 460-281 BC defeated Hendricus - Romans 219-200 BC 61-45.

After a bloody day Greece has decided to leave Rome's European Union.
Even my army could not persuade them to stay, so the better member leaves.

Re: Biblical: arrange your matches here . . .

Stockwellpete did you get my PM ? I do not have TT Mod 1.53 and get error message if trying to play. Found that out against paulmcneil. So I can't play in this Biblical era in the DL.
As I see two Phoenician armies you probably removed the wrong general, Please check that.

Just a few statistics for you . . .
