Another way to deal with this is reducing the mine-strength to maybe 5. That way to units may charge through the mines. I think that transport ships (with land units) can detect mines on the beach hexes when the troops try to debark, but they can not clear them and/or allow the units to come ashore...

I'm not sure right now, but wasn't the early victory condition removed for some reason?
I think you have to go the whole nine yards and play 'till scenario end.

Maybe that worked on 2015 but it doesn't now - not least of all because you couldn't win the Minsk scenario and then "join your core in Yugoslavia" Next - if you destroy the train and then win the Minsk scenario, the captured train objective is marked as "failed" Chill.
