Devastators backed up by more devastators proceeded by tacs with meltas to take the brunt of the punishment. Unless you are producing your own top tier units, devastators are the best anti-armor unit for the cost the SM have. If you can get apothecaries do that.

Agreed. I played as the Necrons and conquered everything with 12 units(2 destroyers, 2 barges, 4 warriors, 3 heroes, and the walker) independents included, without losing a unit. Now I am playing against Necrons as Space Marines also and am holding my own for now but they have at least 2 cities and ...
