They are pretty good against cavalry with their +4 AP on pursuit, though, at least there's that. Are they though? It's still only a 25% chance to catch. Anyone else finding knights, especially the later ones, extremely underwhelming? Knights are at a +100 PoA charging average spearmen, which translates to about a 50% win chance. The spearmen have a 40% chance of passing cohesion test (-1 losing close combat, -1 significant casualties in close comba...

1) That might just be a run of luck combined with the importance of that +1 to cohesion that all heavy infantry get. I've definitely seen them get steamrolled by charging heavy lancers, and also had them hold up power units for a couple crucial turns. Definitely helps if there is an engaged general...

So far I can't tell if the point decrease really made horse archers that much stronger - their main weakness was not the unit cost, but dependance on terrain - on the wide open map they were already doing pretty ok in Ancients, but any terrain features severely restrict their ability to attack. I also had the same problem recently - I was entering message in chat and it started scrolling spontaneously until all of my message was off-screen (or disappereared entirely?). Scrolling back with arrow keys didn't help.

Byzantine hybrid units sure do feel overpriced a bit, especially Skoutatoi and archers since they paying extra for being maneuverable.
