Re: Trying to understand Panzer General 2
Welcome to the forum, allow me to ask: do you mean Panzer General 2 or Panzer Corps 2? For sure you know that Panzer Corps 2 hasn’t been released yet… so I am not sure this sub-forum is the right place for your questions? Maybe better to try here, i.e. to have higher chances to receive some answers...

I think you may need to open the respective scenario.pzscn file in the scenario editor and remove the unit and maybe also remove/edit the script that is triggering the unit to show up...
Or simply cheat and finish him off, much easier this way.

Re: Really liked the reconnaissance system of People’s general
Cannot agree any more. Possible factors will affect degree of reconnaissance: Terrain, weather, time (day/night), distance, height, status (March/move/defence/ambush...), type of unit/equipment, type of unit of opposite party, land/air/naval, etc. Current factors used in PzC: distance Personally I ...

Really liked the reconnaissance system of People’s general
In PeG, reconnaissance is not white or black, I don’t see you or I see all of you. It represents several degrees of intelligence availability. When an enemy units is at the limit of your spot range, the player (hopefully the AI as well) will barely know that there is enemy presence there, but have n...

Re: How to share save files between iPad and PC version?
It is possible to transfer files off of your Ipad. Unfortunately the different Saved Games are not compatible between the three platforms. A saved game from the Ipad will not load on the Mac or the PC. A saved game from the PC will not load on the Mac. I have tried. To get data files off your IPad,...

Re: Heroes?
I was young when I played PG II, so the heroes were complicated to me. I like them being random and having variable stats and not worrying about putting them in different units. It’s less “stats” and more “feats” when you talk about PG2 heroes. Actually more like super powers. IIRC there was one ca...

Re: Heroes?
No, there are no weather or special function heroes. Just attack, defense, initiative, spotting, and move Range available for Art, and AA The PG2 heroes are much more diversive and interesting, such as devastating fire, first strike, all weather combat, ignoring zoc, the rock, half ammo comsuption,...

Re: What content would you like to see in PzC 2?
That is the million dollar question  . What content would you like to see in PzC 2? It is never too early to hear your ideas for a campaign, isn't it? A dynamic campaign. Where the player’s success and failure has some real influence on the strategic map, and every scenario is not predesig...

Re: Favorite Artillery unit
I think certain heavy pieces are quite badly represented in PC.. for example German 17cm K17 gun was capable reaching ranges over 28km, which was twice the range of best 150-155 howitzers in WW2.. there were only few gun capable doing so, US 8in, and to some degree Russian 203mm and Long Tom 155 (r...

Re: How to get minor Axis country units in my core in GC?
One must edit the campaign file, to add the allied nations. From the main campaign.pzdat: # Name 'Label in campaign path' 'Description' 'Side' 'Nation' 'Starting prestige' 'Display name' D-Day 20 IDS_CAMPAIGN_DESCRIPTION_AC6 1 1,2 8000 IDS_CAMPAIGN_NAME_AC6 The 1,2 puts both UK and US units into th...

How to get minor Axis country units in my core in GC?
Like you can have Italian units in Afrika Korps?
Is there any mod that does the trick? Or can I just edit some files?
I'd kill to have a few Bersaglieri or Finnish Jager in my core.

Is it possible to change a hero’s name and picture? In case I want to, you know, get myself in action?tenshin111 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 2:24 pm No, you can't dismiss a hero.
And to change its stats you would need to edit the save file.

Re: Afrika Korps and Elefant upgrade
I don't think this is really about being historical- we're talking the campaign where you fly across the Caucasus in gliders carrying Tiger tanks after all. Rather by the time Afrika corps came out it was obvious that the Elefant is exceedingly overpowered in the game, particularly in open terrain,...

Re: Is Panzer Grenadier synonymous with motorized/mechanized infantry?
As I understand it, panzergrandiers are specifically infantry that accompany tanks. They sometimes used halftracks but often used trucks. Standard infantry units would be infantry (on foot), motorised infantry (in trucks), mechanised infantry (in halftracks or other tracked transport). So in game, ...

Is Panzer Grenadier synonymous with motorized/mechanized infantry?
I am getting more and more obsessed with organizing and naming my core as historically accurate as possible, and now I’m really not sure what to do with my motorized/mechanized Wehrmacht infantry units. For the record I love plain, nothing fancy, not so elite infantry units, and try to use them as m...

Re: Why No Pacific Campaign?
USA vs UK? What is that, some drill mission? There are two such scenarios- "Formation" and "Achnacarry", both part of US Corps 42. Ah, I have never been able to bring myself to play anything but the GC, although I have purchased all the DLCs on both PC and iPad long long ago. I ...

Re: Why No Pacific Campaign?
IMHO the pacific theater was much more about ships than panzers, and PzC is not very good at simulating naval warfare.
