Re: Order of Battle is coming to console!

Folks are surprised that the long suffering followers of half baked releases of OOB for the PC fail to rejoice that efforts to fix the still unresolved issues with the PC version are being redirected to the Console world? If you think that porting OOB to the console world will lead to a renaissance ...

Re: Endsieg

Ok, I surrender. That attitude certainly explains why this situation exists. Thank you for clarifying it for me. You can safely say you’ve seen the last dime from me for anything published by Slitherine. It had been an educational experience. One I will happily share with others.

Re: Endsieg

I fail to see How can it be said that Endsieg is not a defective product? There are serious errors in the scenarios that make them unplayable if you do not know how to fix them. Continuing to sell, without a disclaimer, a product that you know to be defective is at the very least dishonest, could be...

Re: Endsieg

So Andy, I find your rational intruding. It seems it is fine to defraud customers by continuing to sell a knowingly defective product since to do the correct and ethical approach to suspend sales until the issue is resolved will detract from the fix? What about ethics and accountability? They don’t ...

Re: Endsieg

Andy you are correct, to a degree, in that fixing the bugs in the program is rather complicated by the number of DLCs. However Bru makes a bigger point that the recent DLC, that is loaded with game killing bugs COULD have been easily fixed by a DLC patch months ago, yet for some strange reason, not ...

Re: Endsieg

I have also noticed Allied / Russian SPA being able to ignore ZOC rules and just zip past your units to grab an objective in your rear.

Re: Italiens in Endsige

Yep you loose the Italians. Using a Sandstorm core in Endsiege puts you at a major disadvantage as you will start without any SS units, nor much in the way of any Research or Resource Points to add them. You can eventually add them in but it will suck resource points away from your regular core to d...

Re: IS OOB really and truely dead?

While I will admit that among the tarnish and lack of craftmanship there is a decent game in OOB, recent releases and the lack of at least an interim patch since Endsiege, and its release 3 months ago with the DLC killing bugs, are a legitimate concern. OOB has exhibited a pattern of lack of develop...

Re: Gameplay advice sought - US Marines Guadalcanal

The air part you can do this but it takes impeccable timing as well as some luck as to when you land and repair your Wildcats. As to the secondary victory conditions, you pretty much need some wild luck and gamey play to achieve it. It’s not worth it IMHO.

Any Yet and ANOTHER bug Land of the Giants

Ok, if AtA missiles were not enough, the devs decided to include Giant units in their unit mix. Here we have some Giant Tommies on the Attack! Maybe I was not so far off as to suggest they go with a Lord Of the Rings Approach after all. Throw in some Murmakil units and you have it. :) Land of the Gi...

Here is a new BUG. Soviet ATA Missiles

Ok, here is either a new bug or a more major departure from the historical path than normal. I was playing the Moscow scenario in Endsieg campaign (this time with my sandstorm core) and had a Soviet Yak 9 knock 5 points off my Storch Recon Aircraft from 3 hexes away! So either I uncovered yet ANOTHE...

IS OOB really and truely dead?

Endsiege has been out for over a month now, released with game killing bugs (the campaign dates of 45 vrs 1945) are just one example and we still have yet to see a patch to fix them? These and the other database bugs are simple fixes that have yet to be addressed. The lack of attention to these eith...

Re: Mistakes vere made, mein Fuhrer - Endsieg Review and Discuss

Thanks for the suggestion to employ Engineer units in the Falaise/Paris Scenarios. It was brilliant. In my second playthrough I used 2-3 Engineer units to blow key bridges and lay some minefields. It worked like a charm to slow the Amis down. In my first playthrough I entered the Market Garden Scena...

Re: Wire Guided Bomb Specialisation does not work

Hi Bru, While we are at it, the Wire Guided Bomb specialization is a bit off in its concept. It should add 10+ Large Naval Attack to Stategic not tactical bombers. The historical precedent for the specialization was the Fritz-X guided bomb. The size of the bomb meant it was too big to carry on anyth...

Wire Guided Bomb Specialisation does not work

The lack of testing on the latter scenarios is really starting to show and also starting to be very annoying. The "Wire Guided Bomb" Specialisation does not do squat for Naval attack values of your aircraft, despite what it says. I checked the FW200 you get as a reward and the Naval Attack is still ...

Re: ENDSIEG: BUG Research Specialisations ...

What is the correct end date for the "Entwicklung Series" The current date in the csv file is 7/1945 which is outside the last scenario, Calais which is 5/1945 (actually 5/45 but I've fixed that). Was it intended that the "Entwicklung Series" be available 7/1944 for Falaise or 5/1945 for Calais? Not...

Re: EndSieg - West Front. Any Ground Attack Aircraft Suggestions

Yep, at less than 12 Air CP taking anything bit fighters is not feasible. 2x ME-262 with 1x Me-410 is doable if you have some good ground ADA to soften the enemy air up. I did update the units CSV to add a tactical air ME-410 allow me to carry on my experienced Ground Attack Units. That works much b...

Ok, thanks. Pity there is no upgrade path 😕 Guess I’ll just sell off the Ju-87s.

Or play with the csv file, could keep the experience that way...
