I don't think it would be possible to emulate the hills of Korea accurately in Battle Academy BUT there could be some abstraction with restrictive terrain. Maybe adding rocks and trees to hill masses to limit the moment of tanks would work.

I think one of the reasons that it has not caught on is that designing an AI for such games must be a nightmare. But that is just a guess. I agree. I'm sure it's very difficult. Flashpoint Campaigns AI employs no noticable or coherent tactics. It is just large blobs of units moving towards victory ...

I think WEGO is a great concept that is used poorly in video games - most developers don't understand how military decision making is done within a chain of subordinate commands and their depiction is usually highly unrealistic and very un-fun to me. folks, been playing this thing on normal difficulty and honestly I do not see how anybody can win this thing, with as stingy as they are with prestige. Time and time again my units get beaten down, drained of points, weakened to the point of worthlessness, and I have no money and tons of objectives...

Creating random battles in the editor is not a good workaround. Editors still need to script the AI units. Without scripting they will just sit there. In single or multiplayer, it appears one can only choose 1 nation to play but not who to play against. Unless I am missing something...why is this?
