Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0
Some were lost around Kursk, it was a static defensive weapon if anything... there were some good ideas around it (looking at its kill ratio) but overall poorly implemented... how can you release a tank without a machine gun for close combat by the way?! I guess they thought no one would be able to...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0
which objectives exactly to take in SU to stop completely their units production ? If they have less than 4 objective city flags. Excluding the ones in the Caucasus with the letter "C", these are not required for victory, just optional. What exactly are the city flags objectives? Leningrad, Moscow,...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0
This is my point, why use the Elephant at all? It needs support from ground and from air, is slow, needs lots of maintenance also... As for the Elefant I would highly recommend watching the related Tankchat episode on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqoFbkdEnpw Interestingly in the video t...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0
Are you nuts? Rommel difficulty with this? this seems more diff than playing on Ultimate... Better ask him how often he has played the mod already... or how many 100x hours he has played it... or if he knows all the units, all the hexes, all the AI zones, all the triggers, all the turns and anythin...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0
Plymouth is not a major hex anymore, volks in v2.0.  So probably the best way if you want the invason 42+ on to attack from the North. I could do this with the Stalingrad save, but with the Kursk save you cannot be fast enough to avoid d-day. When we start from the beginning, I think...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0
Yes, maybe... it takes years to build ships... They had enough already for the attack, not as many as British, but enough to attempt, also there could be an easy local air superiority to bomb them in 1941 Maybe... I may not know enough about it but I think the UK had the strongest fleet at that poi...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0
North Africa... well, IMHO I am not sure why Germany ever went there... The irony is that Libya was full of Oil reserves . If these have been exploited by Italians before the war, the whole WW2 history as we know it, would have been altered for good! The oil has been partly discovered. If the huge ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0
hi everyone, in the mod there is naval unit as a support for: refueling, ammunition and repairs Not that I know of... but McGuba has something like this to Malta, i.e. to a fixed hex location but not flexible ships to flexible hexes (i.e. other ships anywhere). In this mod, when a supply ship reach...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0
Your plans are fine (including the rockets plan, you will do all of your plans as the US will keep pushing you east towards the Rhine)... What I said earlier, you need to delay the advance from Normandy and Southern France to the river Rhine as much and as long as possible... it's from turn 72 to tu...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0
Italy: I'm not sure. The Allied airforce from the south will not let the bombings of their ships to happen so easy... If you defend the Fiume line you can avoid most of the ships and you do not need armor in the hills, which can be used elsewhere. Also when opration Anwill comes into motion, your a...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0
Thanks, my playthrough http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=145&t=86481 wasn't perfect by no means but it was what I could do back then... ;) I think the railway guns are already considered as part of the Karl-Gerät, i.e. given the force balances that McGuba maintains across unit types. Y...

Thanks, my playthrough wasn't perfect by no means but it was what I could do back then... ;) I think the railway guns are already considered as part of the Karl-Gerät, i.e. given the force balances that McGuba maintains across unit types. Yes, you already face some prestige loss of up to 300 prestig...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0
Regarding options... Well, I guess you need to hold the US troops somewhere between Normandy/Rhone River and the Rhine as well as around Vienna and in the south around Munich by turn 99... because otherwise it's a loss... anything else is optional IMHO Delaying is easier than holding or defeating......
