Re: Intercept Orders

For example: a retreating army moves 2 regions back (movement cost/region=1, so a total of 2 movement used). A pursuing army is given orders moving toward the retreating army 2 regions (also 2 movement used). Based on my understanding of what you have written the pursuer should never catch the retre...

Re: Enemy Fleets/Armies Moving Through Each Other

Great, thank you for the confirmation. I'm at a bit of a loss. :? These things don't come up all the time, but I wanted to start to bring it up in case others were having these issues and could be patched, if there was something I could do, or perhaps there is nothing to do because this game file go...

Re: Sneaking Out of a Besieged City

Ha, I would agree devoncop! It is good to know that perhaps it appears isolated to this game, OTOH it stinks that it appears only isolated to this game because we are well over 200 turns of an MP game. No mods are in use...unless one of the other players have used them. I can double check with...

Sneaking Out of a Besieged City

OK, we've got another odd situation. Same game, same part of the map as my post about armies passing through each other. I have an army besieging a city with 2 large enemy armies in it, plus the garrison. Both sides are human controlled. This time one of the besieged armies leave the region without ...

Re: Intercept Orders

So how does the process work? Say the enemy retreats in to an undetected region while the pursuer follows. Assuming all forces move in the same impulse they should arrive at the same time. I assume the pursuer then detects the enemy again and tries to pursue further. That hasn’t worked for me yet, t...

Re: Enemy Fleets/Armies Moving Through Each Other

Also a few turns back my army was given orders to move and attack a region, but they were intercepted by the enemy first. The real oddity was that I won the battle yet my army halted with out completing any of its movement orders. Same war against a human controlled force.

Re: Enemy Fleets/Armies Moving Through Each Other

Hi Pocus, what makes the issue double frustrating is that it’s happening in my MP game. So there’s no file to send. I can confirm my interpretation because the enemy force is human controlled and we were both scratching our heads. And just to confirm, there’s never a speed difference between armies ...

Intercept Orders

I have not seen a comprehensive explanation regarding the Intercept movement order. The word intercept appears 2 times from my search of the manual. It basically says you can attempt to intercept a friendly army or an enemy army, but how is it supposed to work exactly? I know *how* to give the order...

Enemy Fleets/Armies Moving Through Each Other

I have encountered this behavior multiple times and with both fleets and armies. The latest instance happened the other night between opposing armies. My interpretation of what I am seeing are 2 opposing armies in regions that are next to each other. They are both given orders to enter the other's r...

no its +1 defend, this is the norm for the master buildings. The exception is the fletcher where you get a bonus on ranged attack.
OK then, problem solved! Thanks you guys for helping to clear that up.

Re: Stable Master Buff?

Hmm, then there’s a conflict. According to Grognerds Guide it says the stable master gives a +1 attack bonus, but we are getting a defensive bonus. Is the guide incorrect?

Paul59, all I want to say is THANK YOU for this mod, it is simply beautiful! :D I have been a big fan of the TT Mod for several months, but I havnt taken the time to thank you yet. I cut my teeth TT gaming with ancients. While I still do some TT gaming, FOG2 with your work really scratches an itch. ...

Re: Stable Master Buff?

Interesting DesertedFox...well I can confirm that cav units keep getting the +1 defensive bonus, NOT the attack bonus. Not really, it should work for LC, MC, HC in the same way as Master Fletcher. If you have a saved game with a non upgraded cav that don't get his new gear, then please send the save...

Hi Pocus, any idea why the Stable Master isn’t working properly in my case? DesertedFox reported a similar issue as well.

Re: Stable Master Buff?

Ah yes, the ledger! According to the ledger I have no other Stable Master. I did the next turn and again no Stable Master upgrade, HOWEVER I noticed that the unit parked in the region got a +1 defense... so it appears to be acting like another Armorsmith. :?

Re: Stable Master Buff?

I suppose it is possible, but I'm not aware of one. I admit that I stumbled on to this one, but I must have had auto build for the province and it showed up. I havnt conquered any rich real estate lately that may contain another Armorsmith either, but I will try to keep my eye out for one. Any effic...

Re: Stable Master Buff?

you only get one such +1 per unit, so for eg many cavalry can get it from either the stable master or the armoursmith, so its possible that all your units are upgraded? Well if that is true, then that is good to know about a single +1/unit, so thank you! However most units i put with the Stable Mas...

Stable Master Buff?

I was reviewing some regions in my empire and much to my delight :D I found that I had a Stable Master in one of my (non capital) regions. I quickly started vectoring various cavalry to the region to receive the +1 attack. After several turns no unit has received any buff at all. :( I also have the ...

Re: Formal Surrender Terms

To be clear I have never said (or even hinted) that game play is broken, however there has been a rather large chorus asking the current diplomacy system to be improved. Having a more robust diplomatic system (i.e. choices and options) would only enhance the game, and it sounds like you agree in pri...

Re: Formal Surrender Terms

ledo, you say that everything has a balance, and you're right about it. But in the real game not all players understand this subtle principle and there is also to consider the fact that sometimes also friendship or pre-arranged deals play a role, when two or more players decide to part the world be...
