Re: Difficulty level.
I know I already asked, but is max difficulty actually enjoyable or would it just be an exercise in frustration?

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
About force composition, what do you guys suggest? I know this probably varies between different campaigns, but generally speaking what's a good infantry/armor/support ratio? About recon, in panzer corps 1 it was essentially a wasted slot, as you could easily scout with tanks/planes and then reload ...

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
Thanks, hopefully it wont be a savescumming marathon like Warhammer. By the way, I have a programmable mouse that can pretty much do anything (macro included) and has many extra buttons to spare that can be binded to anything. Besides the obvious "double click" shortcut (yes, I am THAT lazy) is ther...

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
Good, I'll try at level 5 then and see if I can handle it.
By the way, is there any trick to speed up re-loading the game?

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
The various difficult levels simply add or remove AI units' strength points. So the only change is during battles. You can be more reckless or need to be more careful depending on the level. The question is, how careful? For comparison, in order to win battles in Warhammer: Armageddon at hardest di...

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
I have yet to start my play-through, another game got in the way!
I was wondering, when played on max difficulty, does the game give you some breathing room or you need to do everything 100% super efficient and perfect?

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
I just made a lightning try on the Marine campaign, really a couple of minutes just for the lulz.
Tried to attack entrenched Japanese dudes with freshly disembarked marine on hardest mode, obviously it didn't end up well.

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
So, what's the "meta" tactics that you use to get successful results in this game? In PzC it was essentially: -Pound stuff with artillery/bombers -Strike entrenched troops with flamers -Surround and go for the kill maximizing your unit's strength according to unit type and terrain. How does it work ...

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
Here you go, straight from the unit navigation tool. What's that sword icon and why it doesn't show in-game?

What about the little sword icon and why I do not see it in my game? I can even see in the unit database.

Re: Erik's campaigns
Thank you. This gaming community has been really helpful in testing all the scenarios and campaigns. Have fun! By any chance, have you (or anyone else) made an Italian campaign? I still remember my granpa stories about how hard it was to fight vs Allies in North Africa...dealing with the incompeten...

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
Thanks Stucco Fresco (btw, italian, I suppose, right?) But were can I see how each unit is affected by terrain? I only see attack value vs Mechanized/Infantry but not how this is affected by the cover modifier. For example, I suppose a Churchill AVRE has very different modifier in close terrain comp...

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
Thanks.
At this point, the combat mechanics are enough clear to me except for 1 thing, the terrain's effect:
Do we still have the "close-open" terrain and the different bonus/malus for the various units?

Re: Tell me about Difficulty
Is there any updated guide for the game? Or is the manual fine? In pzc it was much easier, just learn the difference between close and open terrain and the terrain were units excels in. Here is so much confusing...like when the manual says there's "mechanized" damage and defense...how can damage be ...

Erik, I just got this game and I am at loss for words after I realized the amount of content you made.
