Re: Spanish Civil War Mod & Campaign (v0.45)

Yes, this scenario is too big. I knew once you said it was 120x120 it would struggle. The units themselves aren’t the issue, its the map size, at least for me. Took about 5 or 6 minutes to load, then it began freezing and unfreezing. It hasn’t crashed yet, but its probably close. Update: I take that...

Re: Spanish Civil War Mod & Campaign (v0.7)

PS: And LND, please be aware that you scens/campaign is hard as hell at the moment (not just this scen). It's quite doable, sure, but with - to be honest - practically no room for error on the player's side. You should consider some more RP/turn or damp the enemy units a bit or something similar. I...

Re: Winter War 1939 Beta Test

I’d recommend going back to an autosave or a save for Raate road right before it ended, and use #orbitalcommand in the command console. That would be an easy way to find out.

Re: Winter War 1939 Beta Test

I’ve noticed something in the first scenario. You can deploy Ski infantry on the forward most deployment hexes, and have them retreat to the dense forest down the road from the bridge. Once the tanks approach, you can easily cut them off. I’d almost recommend removing those initial deployment hexes,...

I would also be willing to test it, through I will admit that my computer is certainly lower end... and ancient.

Re: Winter War 1939 Beta Test

It seems as though in the second scenario the air supply doesn’t quite work. The air unit displays red hexes regardless of proximity to air exit. Also, the tanks’ll be interesting to deal with. They see. Like they’ll be tough to deal with, but I suppose I just need to cut them off from supply. Also,...

Re: Spanish Civil War Mod & Campaign (v0.45)

I can tell you with near absolute certainty, that scenario will not run on my computer. If you do add it, without trimming it down, please make it part of an option where you can choose one or the other. :D 25 AI teams will also bog it down. How many units are on each? 5? 10? And Davoust, you’d be s...

Re: Sandstorm: Another Airboy AAR

Just a point, what you called a armored car was really a Light Tank Mk IV (if I’m not mistaken), though it is certainly more like a tankette in size, armament, all characteristics. Turn 1 and turn 2, saying the ‘armored car’ attacked my armored car. That is quite nit-picky of me, otherwise, its very...

Re: 7PzD Ghost Division 1940-41 Campaign V2

Does this tank belong to the 7th or 11th Panzer Division or both divisions or is it an error ? While researching the 7th Panzer division, I came across this image: Panzer_38(t)_Ausf._S(1).jpg Deutscher Panzer 38(t) Ausführung S im Deutschen Panzermuseum Munster. The "Y"-like and ghost designs are e...

Re: Burma Road AAR

Perhaps I shouldn’t point stuff out, as this is an AAR, not a strategy discussion, but I think captured Aykab using paratroopers and SAS, supported by a portion of my force I diverted south, without using the boats. Just thought I’d point that out.

Re: Restricting deployment hexes

Now maybe you do not like for units to be deployed at VP areas after they are captured maybe this is your concern the trick to do here is make sure the VP areas are NOT a City, Village, or TOWN hex. If they are meaning if you put a VP flag on a hex that you have made a City Town or Village the depl...

Restricting deployment hexes

In a scenario, I want to make it so reinforcements can only be deployed at the landing zone. Any ideas how to do that?

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

I think that fort might be difficult to take. From what I can tell, it can only be attacked by one infantry/tank unit each turn. The walls prevent movement onto it. But I know bru did a similar thing in that castle scenario, and I haven’t actually even played the scenario yet (because the Finnish ca...

Re: The US forces M4A1 Sherman A is pathetic ???

A total 4% accuracy across all eight rockets. 83 tanks destroyed is pretty small, when each aircraft has 8 rockets. While yes, it can be alleviated somewhat, it still is not good. In one engagement, 250 tanks were claimed by the 2nd Tactical Airforce. Typhoons claimed 220 of these. Research teams se...

Re: The US forces M4A1 Sherman A is pathetic ???

EDIT. Second example (better IMO): only Typhoons and Thunderbolts massacred two SS panzer regiments during a German counterattack at Mortain in Normandy in August 1944, so this aircraft were tac bombers and believe me, they were much better than German Stukas Typhoons were also poor. Their rockets ...

Re: I still don't like the way PzC 2 looks.

The problem is (in my opinion) this: The map seems too... zoomed out, if that makes sense. While soldiers are certainly not to scale with buildings in OoB, PzC2 takes it to another level. You’ll look at an OoB forest hex, and it has 15-20 trees, and then you look at a PzC2 forest hex, and its just d...

I’d argue they lost because they were encountering fighters, when they had few escorts, but my knowledge is mainly focused on the Pacific Theatre.

Are you moving it through a JUNGLE road? Because it will lose 1 efficiency on a dirt road through a jungle, if not more.

Re: Why does 1 unit have small number next to it & other does not

That denotes ‘fuel’ With planes, the number there tells you how many turns until they have to land. On land, it tells you how many turns they can go without supply. With airplanes, if the number reaches 0, they will start losing strength, and eventually die. With land units, like paratroopers, if th...
