Neat AAR. The British should have concentrated their forces better.

What do you mean by unit scale? Every unit has a set number of men in it.

Re: Air Combat Info
Bombers will push aside fighters hovering over the target. I think this is correct, otherwise you could always protect a target from being attacked. It is standard practice (I think for the AI as well) to bomb, then move your bomber to a nearby location making room for the next air unit. Not being ...

Re: AI and Mines
I'm designing a Single Player scenario. I gave the AI plenty of Engineer units, but it never uses them to clear minefields. What should I do? Should I assign every individual Engineer an AI Group and telling it to "move to hex" directly into a minefield? AFAIK units that are tasked to clear mines h...

Re: Set AI Group hotkey?
Another question: we use CTRL to load units into others, like planes in a Hangar. How do we take those planes out of the Hangar again?

Re: Set AI Group hotkey?
Nevermind: I found that CTRL+[num on the "rightmost" group of numbers] works. I was trying with the numbers above the letters on the keyboard.

Set AI Group hotkey?
Setting AI Group to every single unit by clicking the semi-transparent list is incredibly boring, is there a keyboard hotkey to do it

Re: Brave New World (total conversion) -v1.0
What are the HQ units ? To get an "operational feel" I wanted to include HQ units that, if lost, would hamper the whole army. I originally intended them to produce supplies, but couldn't make it work (can't remember why), so I decided to work around the issue by crafting events that decreased one s...

Happy to have a go at play testing single player scenarios when the become available. Not something I've done before but will to give it a go.
As for the screen shots I think I would prefer counters over a old style map board.
Cheers

Brave New World (total conversion) -v1.0
https://i.imgur.com/AMZ06yU.png Hi all, this is my first mod for Order of Battle. It aims to provide some kind of Operational feeling to the game. With fixed unit size and some kind of OOB behind the unit composition, I intend to lead the game in a more “organized” direction, a distant relative of ...

Re: Allies Defiant Reviews
Well, the difference here is that capabilities wise they weren’t that far apart. I’d also question whether Panther was a better tank than the Pz4. It had better armor and a better gun to be sure, but it’s operational readiness and automotive reliability left a lot to be desired. For an army built a...

Re: Considering OOB
I played Panzer Corps extensively a couple years ago, I jumped on OOB because while still quite simple it's still more rewardingly complex and """realistic""".

Re: Order of Battle: World War II - OoB
Ok, but you still classify your units as regiments, brigades, etc. When you fight on Saipan or Peleliu it's ok, but when you attack Moscow it turns out that the CPs are enough for you only to deploy max 3 divisions (1 corps), it is a bit too little, when Moscow was attacked by 4 German armies = abo...

Re: Order of Battle: World War II - OoB
That's what the main issue here, the scale. In even regimental scale, the majority of art at aa, etc would be integrated to infantry, even tank battalions gone on divisional scale as Pz Divs have PzGren battalions and motorized arty as well... The combat system of OOB fits perfectly for company lev...

Re: Combined arms.
A couple players have posted AARs covering the Soviet campaigns and the combined arms approach is the best so far provided you have the right units. Infantry Corps made by infantry and heavy infantry holding the frontlines with AT-guns backing them and artillery to soften up and shellshock targets i...
