Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Operation Zweihander Once spring finally came, it was time to resume the march east. General Bertorelli took his Japanese and Hungarian divisions to break through the state of Virginia and open a way to the American capital. On the way, he planned a small detour to Fort Knox, which held m...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Operation Ken-Go After making sure that crossings over the Mississippi were secured, general Bertorelli had just one order for the reminder of the winter. Hold them at all costs. Fortunately the weather forecast for the foreseeable future predicted heavy rain and snow, meaning that the en...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Operation Holzfaller Winter months have been slow for the Axis invasion forces, who had to stabilize their front after the American counterattacks. Despite of that, just being passive would be a mistake and thus general Bertorelli was tasked with securing crossings over the Mississippi ri...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Battle of Springfield While winter meant that crossing the Mississippi would be for now not possible on a large scale, High Command was determined to end the year on a positive note following the earlier American counterattack. To this end, general Bertorelli received orders to capture Sp...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Operation Lumpenjagd General Bertorelli was preparing for the counterattacking against the advancing American forces. Having used up all of his nuclear V2 rockets and also not being able to rely on air support due to overwhelming enemy air presence, the only choice that seemed logical at ...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Second Battle of Wichita General Bertorelli knew he needed to evacuate fast and retreat his forces west to give the Axis time to reorganize the front after the death of Mannstein. The American attack was massive and happened so suddenly, that with supply lines stretched so much and with a...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
Player note - I got my rear end kicked so hard it's not even funny! The mission ended turn 6 as I evacuated Mannstein's vehicle to Topeka and if I continued fighting, my entire northern group would get encircled and wiped out. Maybe if I optimize the core and used best units possible I could take t...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Operation Liberty Capturing the rest of Kansas state after successful Battle of Wichita required conquering the city of the same name located on the border between it and Missouri. This was required to secure an approach to cross mighty rivers separating western and eastern United States....

Re: Axis operation west & Usa/Gb grand campaign
Would hope that it is not a combined allied campaign Agreed, more specific campaigns give room for more creativity. Just a thought, why not tie the Frontline DLC together? Could work, but if you connect them anyway IMO you can as well go for a bigger, multi DLC campaign from start. I'd prefer Front...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Battle of Wichita First assignment in Kansas was to capture the city of Wichita, already under attack from the south by the Japanese. For general Bertorelli this was not only about efficiency, but also prestige. If his own Japanese division would be able to secure this location before the...

Re: Axis operation west & Usa/Gb grand campaign
Agreed that Panzer Corps 2 is best when the campaigns are longer. There is the point after which a bloated player core can solve almost any issue, but this can be also manipulated by setting modifiers to speed of gained experience and some other tweaks. Still having smaller bits of content is not an...

Re: Wow - What With Update 1.10.03?
I have another type of issue with this, on GOG - the update just keeps installing and installing, despite the game already being up to date. Each time I close the app it goes again into download and installation mode. Nothing major, but a bit strange, since the game is up to date in theory already.

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Alamo 1946 The invasion plan to attack Texas was simple. Rather than moving directly east and overextending supply lines, the Axis forces were going to sweep south, reaching all the way to San Antonio and the border with Mexico. This way the entire right flank would be mostly secure and t...

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Frontlines - Bulge is out now
Here I am, not yet done with the last AO run when another piece of content drops. I have been lax in my gaming duties it seems! It's been a long ride to finally get some Allied campaigns. Short as this may seem on paper, it should be a welcome refresher from the usual content and I am really looking...

Re: Escape to New York is Live
This might have to wait for a new PC in the PS6 generation to handle the scale, in some existing scenarios my PC was struggling a bit already despite all the constant optimizations of the game with new patches.

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Operation Kowboy Moving from New Mexico into Texas was the next part of the Axis plan. To this end, Japanese forces under general Bertorelli assisted by the Hungarian armored division were supposed to be the vanguard probing American defenses. Main goal was to cross the Pecos River and es...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Ground Zero Moving through New Mexico was supposed to be a quick task. The goal was to just travel east and combat any Americans on the way, crossing the Rio Grande and rushing towards Texas. However, there were two additional concerns that the Axis forces needed to consider. One of them ...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
Good luck to General Bertorelli. It looks like his army needed a lot of expensive reinforcements, the prestige gain looks small. The final number I provide is always before replacements after the battle - it's the final value from the end mission screen and since it's more efficient to do elite rep...

Re: AO Generalissimus Alberto Bertorelli Adventure
AO 1946 - Battle of Hoover Dam Bertorelli's army arrived in Nevada and prepared to help the Japanese cross the Colorado River near Hoover Dam. The location was heavily entrenched and defended by a large American force, while the importance of the site prevented any nuclear weapon usage by both side...
