I am sure glad this thread went from anti-tanks to a political thread....
will be sometime before I feel free to discuss the mechanics of the (game) Order of Battle: World War II

Re: anti-tanks
@gunny what I'm finding out is the AI infantry will flank every time when and if I leave an opening(mines great idea). if I can, using 2-PaKs seems to work better for me. this way I can split the Panzers to cover an enemy Infantry flank attempt at my Infantry as well as support my weaker Panzers aga...

Re: sturmpanzer I
@Zekedia222: you are correct edit: I removed the web site I added. there was books and what not for sale on it. some more and same info on the vehicle picture shown in the editor as the sturmpanzer I can be googled. sometimes called the Bison. my concern was....if my units file was corrupted. it is ...

Re: anti-tanks
a little update: after trying over and over to find use for my free 20mm FlaK switched to an AT and get some results....I gave up lol. never could guess whether to be a AA or AT in time to use it. wrong switch and a lost turn. what I did do was start using the 37mm PaK 36 at Blitzkrieg....Belgium......

sturmpanzer I
just checking to make sure I don't have a problem with my units.csv file I was testing the various artillery equipment available while playing Blitzkrieg. I was looking thru the different threads about artillery in the game and came across one where players were using the sturmpanzer I at Dunkirk. I...

Re: anti-tanks
dense: you'd think I learned in Norway about switchable AT/AA  ohhhh....after upgrading my free 20mm FlaK 38 to a brand new 8.8 cm FlaK 37 with a brand new SdKfz 7 transport that included being a miser of RP's to do so and drooling to get into combat at Blitzkrieg....Belgium..... I find out no...

Re: terrain movement penalties
@Zekedia222 the Heavy Infantry is excellent once you get used to the terrain penalties which I'm slowly learning. the traits are concealable(Ardennes forest and ambushes), light freight(they can hop off the train any where on the rail line this is what I can move them around with if I can control th...

Re: terrain movement penalties
@gunny I didn't want to assign a transport to my Heavy Infantry due to it then being 5 CP's. man that's a lot of CP's and not knowing exactly the terrain cost really can slow them up on foot. what I'm trying to get into my head is the use of railroads for them in Blitzkrieg. seems there is no limit ...

Re: anti-tanks
@gunny just finished Norway and found out my 20mm FlaK as a AT doesn't climb mountain. I set it up for reaction fire and that bunker in the mountains laughed at me and gave my aux inf a once over lol. so now mountains and my 20mm is logged...I think lol. it's the old story....practice makes perfect ...

Re: using a mix of equipment/units
a little update: I was nervous of using the RP's/CP's for a land recon unit. I purchased a SdKfz 232 8Rad instead of my usual Inf unit at Mlawa to help take the airfield at Przasnysz. was a good buy! I'm at first turn deploy at Norway now and my 8Rad has got a star at 2249. not bad. going to sneak a...

Re: anti-tanks
I tried the editor and it seems I used a turn when I switched 20mm FlaK to AT mode making it so I could not fire on the bunker. I was using the 8.8 FlaK unit in the editor. mumble mumble mumble....I deleted my Warsaw saves of that point to check. well I'm in Norway and going to use that 20mm FlaK as...

Re: anti-tanks
hmmmm ran into a little problem trying out my free 20mm FlaK 38 as a AT. I seem to be able to attack all other classes of Polish enemy units. I'm playing Blitzkrieg....Warsaw. when I try to attack the bunker on the river located I believe just N/W of Zyradow, I can't attack it with the 20mm Flak 38 ...

using a mix of equipment/units
I started looking at the AAR's that have Blitzkrieg in them. I don't follow youtube for games. this is a good one for any newbies like me: German Campaign by NightPhoenix in the AAR's section. he's playing on field marshal level but the principles of a mix force is what I'm after. he starts off in M...

Re: terrain movement penalties
forgot to add:
I'm experimenting at Blitzkrieg....Belgium for German equipment classes and units in the game that I can purchase. this makes it stick in my attic a little longer lol.
still....it all gets down to CP's and RP's.......................

Re: terrain movement penalties
thanks gunny
very well done and helps a lot.
what I'm learning is....experience....at the moment while playing is pretty much how things work if I don't use the editor.
your post will help others new at the game too.

Re: anti-tanks
thanks Erik2 I can't load the navigator for some reason on my putters browsers....I had a discussion with Mojko already. I definitely don't want to chase around the units.csv file. done some of that too. as of now I'm concentrating on the German equipment in Blitzkrieg going forward to Panzerkrieg a...

Re: anti-tanks
thanks gunny I keep forgetting that switch out. I'm practicing in Blitzkrieg....Belgium. the AT's are perfect for the allied counter attack near and around Namur. so far the AI tanks say no way and as you say the AI sends in the Brits infantry asap attacking and trying the envelopment. I'm trying to...
