Later Welsh (OathOF)

Hi all, looking at running the following and wonder what advice people may have for terrain, deployment etc. Everything is unprotected/average except the CV. South Welsh are a personal favorite so I am looking at what I can do with them. 650pts 1 x IC 1 x FC 2 x TC 4 x Prot Cv superior light spear (...

We did not lose the ashes - we just did not win them back :D We have one more match to draw the series, so all is not lost (wishful thinking on my part) I have tickets to the first 4 days in Sydney, so I hope Australia last that long! Time for a major team update before the next test series latter i...

Hi Paul,

I believe there at about a dozen so far in the 15mm comp.

Looks like it should be a fun comp. Hopefully a good mix of armies.

2 days was definitely a winner.

See ya there.

cheers

Japanese Warrior Monks

Hi all,

Still waiting for my book to arrive. So I have a question.

Is it possible to run an army of Sohei from the Japanese lists? Or are they only used as allies?

If only Allies - is there a list that can be "fudged" to represent a Sohei army?

Thanks in advance.

unfortunately I cannot get to Newcastle. It is looking like a really good comp.

i even started a 25mm Roman army. But then I could not attend and they pulled the 25mm.

Good luck.

You could use the "bigger" guys as elites and the "smaller" guys as average :D

Ian are you using the 10mm stuff at MOAB? I am interested in how it all looks. I have been thinking of Hussites in 10mm - could be the only way to buy all the war wagons.

not me. Never ran persians. I have no problems with the occasional figure for variety, or something that is amusing - like the persian rhino or a funny camp. My issue is whole armies that have no link to their historical counterparts. If you like sashimonos run late samurai. I also agree that someon...

May as well play fantasy if you are not going to at least try and use accurate figures.

There are enough ranges on the market to at least make an effort.

It is historical miniatures wargaming after all.

Questions on Rear Support - piccies and longish

Hi all, I would like to get a clarification on several rear support questions. I will give what I think is the correct answer. 3 units - All non skirmishers, the same morale and within support distance - Blue is the unit giving support Situation 1 (all units facing up the page) http://s639.photobuck...

no Roman chariots
no Viking berserks
no Spartan elites
probably no Tibetan exorcists, or Incan wardogs

but Post Roman Brits can have King Arthur and his companions!
