A written history 'log' would be great.

I just wrote a small list of what to include and not, but I deleted it. IF it gets implemented Pocus knows well enough was has to be in it. :D

Re: What Good is Retaliate?

I always found 'preemptive retaliation' such a useful political tool. Unfortunately that name is too long.
:D

Edit: two typos

Re: Game Problems since the latest Patch

I can answer 6) because I asked it, too. Sea blockades have never stopped trade. The reasoning was that at that time sea blockades were not very effective as fleets didn't spend the night on sea for example. The blockade does stop naval units (of course) and the region looses a support bonus it woul...

Re: Persia 1.3.4.

... their main goal should be to build full provinces and not as many regions as possible ... +1 for me on that. It looks like the sometimes the AI gets an objective far away and aggressively tries to get it. This results in a long string of provinces which are unsupportable and disperse into islan...

Re: a few suggestions / requests

1) is there a possibility to have something like a history on ledger that tracks the history of our faction leaders? example, "adragoras" king of macedon 286-260, glorious empire. and maybe also be able to see his traits. this way we can look back and shape the story of our nation attached to our l...

Re: Real estate is cheaper than CS

Getting a CS becomes more expensive the more CS you already have?
Where is the logic in that? Why would a state be more reluctant to become a client if there are already others?

Besides that it doesn't make sense that you can buy a nation cheaper if you buy it bit by bit than the whole thing at once.

Real estate is cheaper than CS

Bythnia has three regions - buying them is cheaper (209) than asking Bythnia to become a client state (224).
I haven't checked if that is always true but it doesn't seem right.

Understood - unfortunately I can't raid :|
No big deal but I still think this shouldn't happen. It's an opportunity move that is not possible with anything else.

Insta-raids

As an ally of Rome I've inherited a war against Cymbria. To my surprise I was instantly raided by them.
I think this is a bug. The AI shouldn't be able to raid in the same turn as the war was declared.

Re: Future of Field of Glory: Empires - an appeal

I love this game - it has some very clever mechanisms to make this an interesting game. I will buy any DLC that will come out. But it has some quirks which lead to a bit too much mico-management and some other odds and ends where it could be better. I doubt it would be economically sane to try to fi...

AFAIK it depends on where you are in the list. If you are just in the green or red its 25%. When you are top or bottom its 35%.

Re: Negotiating peace for all the alliance?

I wish eventually there would be a League-type of Alliance... Oh that would be nice. The league would be like a new faction but only diplomatically. All diplomatic events of the league would be inherited by its memebers. There would be a faction leader (defaulting to the human player if any) who de...

Re: Diplomacy: Declare war to?

In the diplomcy panel you can ask nations to 'go to war with...' (or 'make peace with...'). That should do the trick.

But TBH it has never worked for me so I don't know the chances and what influences them.

Re: The AI is very pragmatic

I think you are quite right. In one of the diplomatic screens there is a force comparison modifier. IME if this is positive for you the AI won't attack. This does not take into account, as you said, the economic situation but also not the position of your army or its current situation. Example: the ...

And the army of STATE1 would be repelled from that region I guess (because STATE1 and 3 are neutral to each other). Nice thanks for helping out... I can't think of a good in game solution for 3 to show gratitude to 1 - maybe it could trigger a free 'gift' event if you liberate a region for another n...

Re: Where can I build Irrigation Canals?

Any bonus/reduction in this game is not added but multiplied. So iyou have a 30% chance for a token and it is modified by -15%. The modification is 15% of 30% = 4,5%. The resulting percentage is 25,5% and not 15%. I guess(!) that multiple temples are applied to the reduced chance so you have diminis...

Re: What does a MILITARY EXPERTISE bonus do?

I think we all agree that it makes sense to at least build a palisade/wall in every region and not only on the borders. Those give you time to quench rebellions and, if you are fast enough, you don't loose the region. Pacifiying a region again is quite an economic loss. Then you have your 'military ...

Seems to me that having high ME is not really worth the trouble if these are the only effects of it.
Or is there some mad civ that can pile bonus upon bonus and gets ME to two figures?
