Same here. Would be nice if the player could choose between bigger and smaller models; IIRC OOB has such an option.

Besides, it was good 30 years ago, now it's trash. That's a matter of taste. Ok, the stuff may look dated but for me PG2 and especially Open General is more immersive than PC exactly because of the 3D units on the hand painted 2D maps. The maps in PC and OOB tend to look ... dull in comparison. - D...

Although I'm not enthusiastic about 3D stuff too (for example I'm sceptical about Unity of Command 2 while I really love UoC's original 2D style) I think that it's nonsensical to dismiss PC2's focus on 3D graphics altogether before we have seen any screenshots or ingame footage. When I start the game (v1.0.8 ) a message pops up and informs me about updates. Checking for updates via autorun I get the info that I already run the most recent version of the game.

Also no possibility to download v.1.0.9 in the members area.

Ok, reinstalled the game. Installed Update v101 and tested the save. Everything worked fine, unit selection like it should be. Then I installed Update v1.0.2 - with the result of a broken unit selection for the skirmish scenario, as described above. So I'm going to reinstall SR again with the v101 u...

I'll reinstall the game later this day and try out the last save. Then I'm going to patch it with the Beta and test it. Perhaps this will help to indentify the problem.

Thanks, but unfortunately your save does not work as well. I've got the non-Steam version bought here at the Slitherine shop, Beta Update v1.0.2 installed I made no changes to any of the game's files except the music which I've replaced with the Armageddon ambient sounds (which work very well BTW). ...

and with a empty left hand side list, you can still pick from the main right hand map list with the same left and right clicks
As I said before and shown with the screenshots, the map is empty, there are no units on it.

I agree with Dizzy. You have to push forward with the Rhinos, let them carry a good mix of infantry, Flamer and Meltgun included. Dismount and kill everything that comes near your transports, then mount and get the hell out of there. Speed is the key so avoid melee if possible. If you like, you can ...

Noticed that there are no ambient background sounds in this game. That's a bit dissapointing; the ones used in Armageddon are well done and definitely add to the immersion. No further plans for SR regarding background sounds? (I'd use The Armageddon sound files for a personal mod - by exchanging SR'...
