Re: FoG:R army list updates

Are these the latest updates to errata for the lists? I have the Clash of Empires book and noticed an error in the Hungarian army that I am planning on using. The landsknechts gives 10-16 for each of the 4 types of heavy foot in the 'Total bases' column and then 0-24 next to it. This does not make s...

Re: V4!

Interesting to note that the 1st edition of WRG rules back in 1969 only differentiates medium and heavy infantry with only metal armour for the heavies; but that both troop types 'fight shoulder to shoulder'. Base sizes, albeit in inches, are the same as today. see p4: http://www.wrg.me.uk/WRG.net/H...

Re: FoG:AM v3 Lost Lists

Why is it only this list that has Mob with a minimum of 10 bases whereas every other list that includes Mob has 8-12 bases. Obviously an another error in this list which is not consistent.

Re: Khurasan releases 15mm Gasgans (Kaska people) UPDATED DE

Very nice figures except that version 3 lists do not contain Gasgans (and other Highlanders) along with many other Biblical lists. This has ruined the whole game for me. Pointless to leave out all those lists from the previous editions as they were already done.

number of ADCs?

I know that the number of ADCs in the game is based on the number of command points but nowhere can I see in the rules how many this will be? For example, if I want to prepare figures for the game, how many ADC figures do I need to buy and paint? Is it 1 ADC per command point etc and where does it s...

book on warfare in ancient & medieval Indochina

Just published an e-book on Warfare in Indochina (mainland Southeast Asia) pre-history to c.1500 CE. Hopefully it will be useful for anyone contemplating building and fighting Wargames in this region, which is very misunderstood and neglected. Most lists for Burmese, Thai, Malay, Khmer, Viet and eve...

When V.2 comes out is it then expected that everyone has to re-interpret the lists with no official amendements? To change the points; change the MF lists to either unformed or formed foot and decide which is which inter alia. A total disaster if everyone is expected to re-adjust these things indepe...

I suppose when you say closed, that will not be forever. When copies of existing stocks run out, are amendments to be included in a re-print? If not, can amendments start to be published officially on-line?

Assyrians, Urartians and Kushites

With all the proposed changes for version 2 rules it would be odd not to have the lists amended and therefore published. There are already glaring errors in the exisitng books and these can be amended as well. For example in Swifter than Eagles, the book I am most familar with, here is a error that ...

I use clear perspex 40 x 40 squares as ambush markers, with just 'A' marked on. That way they are quite disguised. They are declared at the beginning but then can be forgotton as the game goes on. Even more of a surprise when they come up with an actual ambush. Just adds a bit of flavour too.

I think as an alternative and in the absence of this list having a separate list of its own in any book, then I think it should be incorporated into either the Mitanni list or Middle Assyrian list. Later Babylonian can also be incorporated into the Early Neo-Assyrian list. This way there could be ju...
