Re: It has been almost 11 weeks without any news on game content

so why not just be clear and say that development is on hiatus for a while. You are assuming that this is the case, but an assumption is just that, an assumption. Why do you expect them to say something that might not be true? Development has been on hiatus for a while, so it's a fact, not an assum...

Re: It has been almost 11 weeks without any news on game content

One thing that is pretty obvious is that Kerensky hasn't posted for 2 months or so. I also remember a post somewhere mentioning that "they" (the AO team) needed a break, but from what I can see the AO team pretty much is Kerensky. Not so weird if you rely on 1 person and that person needs ...

Re: It has been almost 11 weeks without any news on game content

I hope that whenever they get back to AO, they'll solve the issues with AO1942 before going on to 1943. Other than that I hope Kerensky is doing well and is not suffering from a heavy burnout or something like that. The AO DLCs seemed to be resting on his shoulders alone for the most part.

Re: Move mechanics for German allies units

Personally I think it all depends on the situation. In the Spanish Civil War it made sense you weren't commanding the Spanish troops, so directing them through the allied AI system they implemented was a nice way to coordinate with your Spanish allies. In the 1940 scenarios it seemed like we were of...

Re: Your wishes for AO43 and above

1/ We've only just released 42 and have already stated its going to be a longer wait for 43 as the AO team is having a break. But by all means keep discussing 43 and above. Given the title, that was exactly the point of this topic, I'd say. 2/ Re: sound .. fair enough but I can't comment on it. By ...

Re: Your wishes for AO43 and above

I just gave this ancient thread a bump. Sad to see not much, if anything, has happened on that front. While we are at the topic of sound, how about releasing one new piece for the soundtrack for each new DLC? You spend a lot of hours in this game and by now hearing the same tunes again and again eve...

Then, the AI starts bombing my frontline troops (the expensive tanks and artillery of course) and I cannot do anything to protect them since I need all my planes to keep the drunk transport pilots alive... AI transports in the Demyansk mission

I just finished the Demyansk scenario in AO 1942 and was extremely frustrated by the behaviour of the AI transports that you need to keep alive for the bonus mission. I'll decribe what happened. After a few turns the transports start their flight to the pocket in the northwest as intended. I do my b...

Re: Jadtiger and SU-100 after the 41

Is it only the extra 15 Tiger P that you can get (in addition to the 15 you get when your friend shows up again?) I was considering going back to 41 to get the jagdtiger, but won’t bother if so. 15 are good, don’t get me wrong, but I won’t bother replaying an entire AO just for them at this point. ...

Re: DLC 1940 Prediction Forum Game

The most obvious one is the 2nd one: "Undisclosed Location: CZ." The only ideas that I could come up with are "Czechoslovakia" or "costal zone." Could this be a 2nd Norway scenario where you invade Norway by sea somewhere after you have seized the primary airport near ...

Re: There is quite a big error in one of the 1940 DLC maps of the Netherlands

Yeah I'm aware of that. My point is we can't have polder because of a texture limit. Still. Would of been nice to have it. I suppose marsh could be used instead. Aaahh, that's what you meant. Yes, grassland with tiny little water ditches and a little mill would have been nice :) That new map looks ...

Re: There is quite a big error in one of the 1940 DLC maps of the Netherlands

It would of been nice to have polder in the Netherlands. P Even without that island, there's plenty of polder there already! Much of the area near and north of Amsterdam consists of Polders. Check this map depicting the situation in the year 1700, which shows the area on the left of the PC2 screens...

There is quite a big error in one of the 1940 DLC maps of the Netherlands

I just took a look at the 1940 DLC steam page and saw one of the screenshots featuring a part of the Netherlands. Now maps in these type of games are never super accurate and I don't think that's a problem, but this one has quite a big historical inaccuracy. I've uploaded an edited version: https://...

Re: DLC 1940 Prediction Forum Game

5E After the feedback from Finland, and because basically no WW2 games visit Albania/Greece in 1940 this had to make it into the content. It was originally going to be 4 scenarios, which is huge, but that was trimmed down. I assure everyone there are Italian units on these maps, not just your Germa...

Re: What we'd like to see in DLC AO40 and 41...

Kerensky, after AO40 is released, do you think you'll do this again in some way or form for the upcoming AO DLCs? I started this thread with the intention of allowing players to express what they are interested in seeing BEFORE the DLCs are released. It is easy to complain after the fact, but that ...
