Very interesting AAR! I notice that you have constructed a second STR rather than a fourth TAC. Interesting choice. I am assuming you are planning to bomb London/Moscow. I am wondering if this is worth the effort. Sure, the loss of British income will add up over time. However, the Axis will also be...

I have just been informed by my opponent that this is a known bug that has been fixed in the beta.
Thanks!

French offer armistice to Allies...

In a current PBEM game I am playing the Allies and it is August 1940. I have just evacuated Paris to force the Axis player to make a decision about whether or not to accept the French armistice offer. At the completion of the turn, the armistice dialogue box pops up asking _me_, the Allies, if I wan...

Somehow I have the feeling that the sneaky transport is going to play a major role.
Looking forward to see how this and the other two "Morris against The World" AARs unfold.

Looking good! I notice three French units with leaders attached. This means he must have bought two additional leaders (unless something has changed). This - coupled with the early campaign start and the loss of Lorraine - probably means that he will be short of ground units soon. When I defend agai...

Thanks a lot for providing another AAR ! I am really looking forward to see how this and the Supermax-Morris match are going to turn out.

One question: What is the recon mission of the German STR about?

Ah, that clears it up - thank you very much. So, what happened is that Russia DoW'ed one turn before schedule (at the end of my opponents turn), so that they were already at war when my May 8 turn started.

Russian DoW 1942

I am a bit confused about the particulars of the Russian DoW in 1942. Perhaps, some more experienced players can help out. The Key Events Calendar in the manual says "Turn 50, May 8, 1942 - Russia DoWs if Axis has not". My opponent told me that Russian DoW 1942 is a random event which might also occ...

Currently being at the receiving end of FJs having taken Persian cities from the air
I am strongly in favour of the proposed change (spawning Persian garrisons when
Axis enters Iraq).

Sorry to hear about the Christmas plight of the Trondheim defenders. At least, I am pretty sure that
they'll have snow and can enjoy a white Christmas.

I am enjoying this AAR greatly and am picking up valuable tips to help me improve my poor Allied play.
Keep it up!

Augustus,

you are absolutely correct - I was looking at the vanilla manual. Now I have found the GS2.0 one on my hardrive
and it explains everything I want to know in great detail. How embarrassing...

Thanks a lot for your help!

Newbie questions

Hi, I have purchased CEATW GS2 (Mac version) a couple of weeks ago and am having a lot of fun with it. There are a few things which I have not figured out yet. Perhaps, someone can help. 1. I cannot figure out how to upgrade units to paratrooper status. The corresponding button is always inactive Wh...
