Re: KO Tournament: winners post your results here . . .

Since there is interest in this final, I suggest either or both the finalists post some screenshots during the battle. I would enjoy it. And I think klay has the odds about right. Of course, the terrain map could significantly alter the odds. Harvey If there are no surprises for the enemy to be unm...

Re: The Rally Point (discussion and questions)

If that's the case why do dkalenda and pantherboy keep trashing me over and over again? Seems to me like the game rewards skill more than anything still. This discussion remeber me Gary Lineker citat: "Football is a simple game. Twenty-two men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans...

Re: Chaos Tourney III

Division 1 Macedonczyk(Carthaginian 262BC) beat Nosy Rat(Greek 680BC) 62:41 Favourable terrain: a large hill on my side with a slope almost like a front line and a river by the hill itself. I could put all the units on the hill and I could also block the river crossing. Because my army seemed weaker...

Re: Chaos Tourney III

Division 1 Macedonczyk (Elamite 815BC) beat Challenge1(Arab North Africa 789AD) 52:24 A favorable map (some hills and irrigation) helped stop the Arabian attacks. Most of the points were scored by my archers and the opponent scored mostly in the attack of light horses and lancers which massacred my ...

Re: Any questions . . .

Does anyone feel there is an advantage to who makes the first move? I’m not degrading the question - I just wonder if anyone feels there is an advantage to moving first (or second for that matter)... Edit: Sorry this is probably off the topic of the thread. In league not. There is little advantage ...

Division 1 Macedonczyk(Irish 900) beat Cunningcairn(Ptolemaic 166BC) 41:4 I thought I did stupid maneuvers at the beginning of this game: When I saw the enemy's position I decided to swap the left wing with the right one and in the meantime I moved the skirmish away from the rest of the troops to fi...

Division 1 Macedonczyk(Indian 546) beat Karvon (Frankhish 751) 44:12 It was a very hard game for me. Luckily, there were big hill where I placed most of the arches. Another lucky Frankish had the hill too and they didn't really want to leave it and they have forest. My massed archers went a bit to t...

Re: The Rally Point (discussion and questions)

I got 4 choice in EM but somehow strange I'm satisfied. It's gonna be harder but a cooler army.

Maybe solution is to send army choices to Pete with PM so nobody know what others select.

Round 4 Macedonczyk (Arab Conquest 638-684 AD) defeats Nyczar (Scots-Irish 50 BC-476 AD) 43:13 Hard game where terrain was good for Arab (no rough terrain in centre and hill + forest on wings which limit possibility of flank attack by chariots). Scots has made some gambit attack uphill with medium f...

Round 3
Macedonczyk (Arab Conquest 638-684 AD) defeats Karvon (Arab Conquest 629-637 AD) 44:10
Civil war with a big number of veteran spearmans.
I was lucky with the map. There was a big hill on my side that I'm defending. The enemy tried to circle me and I fired at him at the time.

Division 1 Macedonczyk(French 888) beat SnuggleBunnies (Egyptian 570BC) 43:8 In 3 turn, I thought I'd lose. I used horses to be first at strategic hill. Division D

Macedonczyk (Jewish) beats baldrick52 (Pictish) 49:13

I attacked uphill too early. I thought my Zealots couldn't withstand this attack, but a little lucky and I could help the other units with flank attacks.
