Re: Erik's campaigns

First off thanks so much for all the mods you have made. I have spent wayyy to much time playing them. :) I was curious about the Grand Campaign you had made and will it ever be returning? The Grand campaign got too big for its own good. The campaign editor can't campaigns with a (really) large num...

Re: CSI Sweep: Germany East 1944

Since these new Soviet units are part of the official 7.1.8 and not just a beta version, I assume they will make it into the post-Soviet-DLC update as well. Yeah, I'm an optimist.

Re: Erik's campaigns

Move to hex works nicely for land teams. Especially with a check ownership (objective) condition. That way you can lead a formation by the nose around the map. If several formations include the same check ownership condition, you can simulate some randomness to the these formation's orders. If forma...

Re: Lazy units? Why part of AI team(s) sits it out?

I don't think there's a maximum "allowed" number of units in a AI Team. I'm pretty sure the absolute max is far more than the recommended max  There are a couple of guys here that are very good at creating small test scenarios and reporting the results. Let's see if they can come up with more ...

Sea Lion 1940-42 v4.0

Sea Lion 1940-42 v4.0 Link added in first post. This is a complete overhaul of the old campaign. But our resident CSI executor Bru has not sweeped this campaign, so there are probably some issues... Re: CSI Sweep: Germany East 1944

There are PzC campaign maps in most of my custom campaigns. You can find it in the folder.
And it seems that I may redo the branching and remove those duplicate scenarios...

Re: Erik's campaigns

I wonder if the naval capture task may be blamed. If the first transport captures the location, the AI maybe does not quite know what to to with the rest of the transports since the task is fulfilled?

Re: Lazy units? Why part of AI team(s) sits it out?

Also, check the number of units assigned to a AI Team.
Personally, I try to set the max to 15-20 units.
This may lower the AI thinking time as well, especially for naval teams (lots of possible movement locations).

Re: Next DLC?

I've noticed a couple of Slitherine games starting with an iPad version, then the PC and finally the PS4 version.
So there is obviously a small (at least) market for wargames on those non-PC/Mac platforms.

Re: CSI Sweep: Germany East 1944

Quick reply re the duplicate scenarios.
This is from the original PzC campaign and I think it was done because the next scenario in each brand might be different. So not possible to use a single scenario for both branches.
Anyway, the duplicates are identical so you need only check one.

[Terrain Option Request][Wire][New]

Wire is currently used as decoration.
Why not add a fixed small defense bonus for whatever infantry, AA, AT and artillery unit occupying the location?

[Unit Stats Bug][Fairey Battle carrier plane?][7.1.8]

The Fairey Battle is listed as a carrier plane.
I've seen no references to it being used as a carrier bomber.

Bobster66

Rainbow has been reduced in scope a couple of times, probably another major revision is needed.
There's a reason I left it out first time around :D

Re: Erik's campaigns

Erik, could I be of any use in helping work on Sea Lion? When I asked you to repost it a few weeks ago, you said that you had pulled it due to it needing a proper going over. I'm very much a dilettante at this game, but I wanted to offer to make myself useful. If it needs to be done by someone more...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Kolaris, would you like to see some replays? There are cheat codes to increase turns, command points, and RP if you are getting frustrated. Erik, I remember some talk long ago about converting Soviet Corps over. Is that still in the works? Soviet Corps campaign(s) are on the list. I'll wait until n...
