Re: Best feature from the twitch stream?

I would say the encirclement without a doubt!. Finally pockets will have a meaning in Panzer Corps, the new possibilities for strats and scenarios are limitless :D Kudos to the devs :D agree :D Amazing feature, well not so because OoB has it for years but for PzC it's also a really nice and welcome...

Thanks everyone to those who were there with us yesterday.

For all those who couldn't watch it live, we are going to post it on YouTube and post the link here.

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #6

One of the reasons why I prefer OoB over PzC is/was the missing LoS. Game rules must be considered as a whole. OoB had the front line, which could show enemy advance even in fog of war. In Panzer Corps the problem of unspotted enemy units is already much more severe. Enemy could be anywhere. Spotti...

Re: Developers should show something new

Agree, the UI looks great.

Dynamically/procedurally generated maps sounds like a nice feature.

Too bad they mention nothing about modding, probably the most important feature of PzC.

Re: Developers should show something new

Another quote from another article on Wargamer. We recently went to see Matrix/Slitherine to check out some of their upcoming games. You’ll have already seen the articles for Armored Brigade and Close Combat – we’ve got one on Panzer Corps 2 on the way as well! I guess we'll see more in a few weeks ...

Re: Developers should show something new

Apparently PC2 has been shown to a few people. Was reading an article on wargamer.com https://www.wargamer.com/articles/hands-on-with-armored-brigade-close-combats-secret-successor/ Quote from that article (emphasis mine). Close Combat's newest iteration, The Bloody First, probably won't be the game...

Re: More replayability and less puzzle

I think you hit the proverbial hammer on the nail! I'm in the middle of another playthrough of the GC (the upgraded version by nikivdd) and since it's been a while I don't always remember where the enemy units are and where the reinforcements are coming from. So it's a bit like I play them for the f...

Very excited about this!
But..a big part of the success of PzC was it's awesome modability. Will that remain with a fully 3D engine?

standard NATO counters in the next update ? C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Order of Battle Pacific\Order of Battle - WW2_Data\Content\Graphics\Counters contains a file called "NATOcounters.tga". And it does indeed some very basic nato counters but how to enable these game (or do they...

Re: Tons of new content and a new expansion for Order of Bat

Looks great as usual, another one i will add no doubt to the rest.Would be great if you guys would consider at least implementing an "option" to use Classic flags for Germany as i know i'm not the only who thinks that German Cross just doesn't look right. It's become one of the First things i notice ...

Re: What should be the next DLC for Order of Battle?

Spanish Civil War has my vote as well.
After that Fall Weiß, Weserübung, Fall Gelb, Balkans.

I'd like to see an Italian campaign as well, Ethiopia then North Africa, and then Greece.

Re: Good World War 2 Books

I must second Alistair Horne's To Lose A Battle. Probably the best WW II history book I've read. I liked Rick Atkison's trilogy a lot as well (An Army at Dawn, The Day of Battle, The Guns at Last Light). And then there's Richard J. Evans trilogy (The Coming of the Third Reich, The Third Reich in Pow...

Re: Panzer Corps 2

- improved AI - choosing hero traits instead of getting random (and often useless) values - re-balancing of artillery and air (tactical bombers), too powerful now - dynamic LOS, like it's implemented in OoB so depending on the terrain a unit has reduced LOS, also a ship on a coastal hex should not b...

Re: OOB vs Panzer Corps

defensive artillery / artillery as a supporting unit like AT would be a good addition to OoB.

I play both games and love them both. OoB has a very good engine and I can't wait to see grand campaign in the ETO for OoB (no, still not tired of the eastern front :D).

From the patch notes
• Artillery now deals less damage against low-strength targets, making them less effective at "sniping kills" from long range.
Maybe bugged?

Re: How's the scenario design for OOB Marine?

I'm gonna be lazy :D But since I pretty much agree with everything Stephen1024 (2 posts above) has said I have nothing more to add. I do think that air combat in regards to fighter versus bomber the bomber is doing a bit too much damage (and not taking enough). But maybe that's just me, I do like i...
