Re: Panzer Corps 2 to be released on March 19th

Will PC2's editor already have the campaign scenarios loaded so they can be mod'ed to historical units and names? And will we have access to the "units" file to mod as needed?

Re: Suggestions, wishlist and ideas for Panzer Corps 2 gameplay

Based on the PC "equipment file" values, I did some research on the infantry AT values. This is what I found: Pre '39 Infantry 1, engineers 2. Except UK 2 (Boys AT Rifle) and Germany 3 (7.92 AT Rifle). 1941 All Engineers and Russian Infantry 4 (14.5 AT Rifle) 1942 All Engineers and UK Infantry 8 (PI...

Re: Suggestions, wishlist and ideas for Panzer Corps 2 gameplay

I know it's late in the game but please consider: Adding (stationary) "Headquarters" CP units at any controlled town/population center that can: 1. Issue orders/recover morale for all units within 4 hexes of a Line of Communications (LOC, all controlled road and railways linking towns/population cen...

Re: Better Italians in PzC2?

To me, playing the game (PC), the Italian forces are best represented not by weak weapons: (their 47L32 was a better AT gun than the German 37L47; their 75/18 as good SP artillery as the 75/24 StuG; the 75 &100mm towed as the 75 & 105mm; their early M3/M4 armor thicker than early III/IV; etc., etc.,...

Multi unit simultaneous movement

I noticed in your latest update on PC2 that the player had the option to make simultaneous unit moves and/or attacks, rather than just single unit actions. It would be great if both the player AND the AI could be forced to ONLY use simultaneous actions each turn- as an option (AND as ACTUALLY happen...

Re: Impossible Siege Video

Regarding comments about fighters and flak being triggered against air recon... remember, this is notionally an operational-level game. Recon plane units would represent squadrons of planes, dispersed across the front. We're talking either light artillery-spotter kinds of planes, or high-speed phot...

Re: Tank attack range?

It would only make sense if the attacked unit didn't respond with fire. For example, Tiger I attacks the Sherman M4 from a distance of 2 hexes, because has such a range, but Sherman can't answer him with fire because it would be against the realities On the other hand, it shouldn't only connect to ...

Re: Tank attack range?

Interesting that artillery will be able to return fire now. That was always a frustration I had playing Civil War Generals 2, that if you focus your cannons on an enemy battery, they would somehow find the time amidst the barrage to counter-battery 5+ times and still get to fire during their own tu...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #10

No plan survives contact with the enemy, said someone famous. Aren't surprise and change par for the course? That "someone famous" was an Armored Officer- they never planned ahead- claiming they planned "on the move". The rest of us knew the "5 P's: Prior planning prevents poor performance; or, Poo...

Re: Version 7.1.6 Download Issue

Why can't you guys fix the "Check for Update" box on this game to auto upload new versions? It took me a month to install 6.1.9 and I'm still trying to get 7.1.6!

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #9

If I were King, I would like to see PC2 have an "infinite" number of potential campaigns/scenarios by allowing the player(s) all sorts of options on who, where, and when they attack. I would still insist on (even if I had to modify the scenarios) historically accurate force structures, terrain, weat...

This is all over my head but will it ever be possible to mod the existing scenarios in the campaigns- so that we can represent historical units?

Re: Great game but now let's enhance it for PC

I wouldn't say this is a "Great" game; but, it certainly has GREAT potential. Mature this game ala PG/OoB and you could have the best ever. As a minimum, you need to start and improve on a core OoB and fight historically accurate OPFORs on realistic terrain.

Re: Russian rocket launchers

I also use the Airstrike solution- and agree that the launcher is far too lethal against point targets. I tested Katyusha rockets at White Sands Missile Range, (NM) as part of the US support to Israel and the "Iron Dome" program. Free flight (fin stabilized) rockets are large area weapons that loose...

Re: The Artillery range

I have the same concerns and actually developed 2 "units" files- one representing battalion sized units and the other for regiment/brigade. For battalions I used one mile (5/8000 X Range in meters) and Rgts/Bdes half that, but at least 2 minimum. Any game that explicitly uses light AT and AA guns as...
