Re: Italian Campaign 2.0 (v.1.95 on 6th April 2018)

Thanks, I'm really happy, that you liked it and also for the great review! Now just quickly: I would advise also to make steps for a little more ideal core force composition, because it makes things much better. I think, I wrote also of my composition earlier. Strategic bombers are a must because of...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

Sure, but with v1.9 it is no more possible to make it in 50 turn. :) But with the extra hard "oil crisis" difficulty, what I and McGuba implemented in an extra version, the gameplay could still give new experiences! Hey Uhu, I think you forgot one: :D "- Making DV in less than 50 turns" ...yo...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

You can try other difficulties: - Rommel (half prestige) - Not giving any extra prestige for great achivements (Moscow, Leningrad, Malta, etc.) - Making DV in less than 99 turn For added challenge I did try following Barbarossa scenario. On turn one I disbanded every third unit on every gategory for...

Re: Battlefield Europe v1.9 – Turning the Tide in the East (Kursk save: plan of attack for discussion)

You are welcome! :) I think, you know, how big difference is to take on a Soviet tank on staying river, or field... :) Also, when a hostile unit is blocked in the river, others behind it cannot cross too. Also, there is/will be a huge army west of Moscow, which you had to take on - sooner or later. ...

Re: Battlefield Europe v1.9 – Turning the Tide in the East (Kursk save: plan of attack for discussion)

Hi Pete, With 1.9 it is still possible to hold Sicily. It needs much luck, but it is possible. You need to redirect some strat bombers and fighters to neutralize the ships, than you can send everything away. With later versions, I don't know, if you have any chance to hold Sicily, as you cannot buy ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

The mod is not about buying units, but about how to handle the existing units, that they survive, collect experience and possible some heroes and if possible have an upgrade. Hi, I installed this mod and I was wondering how do I add more units to my core? I am making a derivative of the mod, but I n...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

The real cause is, that after so many sufferings, you want some easy joy too! Although this mod is currently not meant to be played as the Allies in single player, I decided to give Battlefield Europe Allied/Soviet Corps a try as well... so please compare here for the unofficial pre-alpha ...

Re: Battlefield Europe v1.9 – The Race to Berlin!

Thanks for the answer, yes, it can be a possible explanation! In my playthroughs, I could hold the Soviet tanks - with some extra power, mainly Panther - to cross the Dniester river, until winter. (If the river is crossed with more than one Soviet tank, than Romania changes side.) But with the winte...

So yes, the minefields do help in delaying the AI (at some places) but they are by no means a showstopper/wonder weapon against the AI… unfortunately…
Thanks for the deep explanation!

Re: Battlefield Europe v1.9 – The Race to Berlin!

I think I will also prepare a time-lapse of the turns 73 to 99 (and this time with fog of war off) to be able to better understand/assess enemy troop movements. Yes it would be really interesting! While the text gave much insight of the fights, the pictures can show only a moment of actions. I also...

I just wonder, why it seems, that in the Ost-South the Soviet Steamroller pushed not for. In my playthrough earlier, it was almost impossible to halt.

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

I undestand, what you mean. On the other hand, I had never a prob...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

I believe that the slow initial production of this AT gun had a major role in the Axis defeats during the 42-43 Soviet winter offensives. I strongly disagree. Less than half of the Soviet tanks were in the winter of 42/43 medium, or heavy tanks. For all other, the lower than 75mm calibres were enou...

Re: Italian Campaign 2.0 (v.1.95 on 6th April 2018)

I do not remember now, what were the causes to let only 4 assault hexes, probably, that I read more of the geography, or wanted to make more realistic. Yes, it is quite hard, I played also several times the landing phase, until I succeed. But I think, it's a good simulation for that, how difficult/a...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #1

Maybe a golden hex-circle would do the trick. In the Battlefield Europe mod is was also a discussion about that, as I remember, there was an optional solution to show radio tower as the symbol of victory hex. I guess, the purple and red hexes are representing occupied cities and airfields by the giv...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #1

I guess, the purple and red hexes are representing occupied cities and airfields by the given side. I hope, it will be changed to flags, as these big, colored hexes are like UFO-s, they stand out from the rest of the map.

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #1

Also many real-time WW2 "strategy" games have great 3D environment - sure the scale is different, but it cannot be an obstacle, as unit (icons) in PzC do not represent also one single unit, so it is just a symbol, as the terrain too. But still, it can be made nice. The 3d art of the OOB maps are ver...
