The books are't out of print, you can buy them via the website, as unless my memory is failing me they are using a print on demand system

Re: Availability of supplements

I asked the same at beginning of year, heres the reply We're in the process of transitioning all the books to our warehouses system in the US and Germany. There is a lot of setup work to do and its a low priority as we don't sell many books direct so I dont have an ETA on when that will be workign s...

Re: ZOI-1

I tend to think of it as they have moved up to edge of woods and are ready to pounce on the unwary, having checked the path out of the woods is clear while waiting ... as in Sir Knight reaches down with his lance and flicks a branch out of the way

What to do with an old army

Hello all, I recently started playing FoG due to a move and now have a group who plays ancients :) As I never got into dbm, I haven't played ancients since wrg 7th days and am trying to see what I can use one of my armies as. My pre 500ad armies are good to go with a few figure tweaks but I am stuck...

Re: Movement of commanders in the JAP Phase

I have just had a bit of a read of the rules, and my take is commander only get 1 move, whether its due to an outcome move or move to join a bg. First grahams point, you misquoted abit i think. it says "in which various outcome moves are actioned. In addition, both sides commanders get a CHANCE to m...

Re: Conformation Problem

If he can not conform to you, you will conform to him. Your lights that got caught, arent in combat with anyone else, so will pivot/slide the minimum to square up with the contacting ele, with both units fighting with 1 ele frontage plus 1 overlap. It looks like theres room, but if there wasnt, your...

Re: Shock Cavalry

I chose to bring shock heavy cavalry to the competition, and it was based on a need to get into contact within a set time period, knowing that my British infantry are too slow (even with the two 6 MU moves at the beginning of the game if I was the attacker. I couldn’t risk not being able to force t...

Re: V2 Hardback. Poor quality, poorer customers service

I hope that any change, even if its just a reformat of something, will be recorded in like a live doc so that people with hardbacks can keep up to date. Sure would hate to go to an event and find a couple electronic people are playing a different set of rules to the hardbackers.

Re: Later Seleucid 900 points

Thanks Raven, I'm still getting to grips with the rules and mentioned with out checking, I was confused with sever disorder which is 1 per 2 :(

But yes since its only 1 per 3, the running the ele with the cats is not a bad idea lol

Re: Later Seleucid 900 points

First thoughts, a single unit of Cats wont do much with out some back up, I would swap the reserve cats with the Ele, use them as a reserve so if anyone opens some sort of hole, the Ele are a hard hitting punch into some units that are prob dropped down to at least disrupted. remember Ele also disor...

I like the idea of tablet for army list books for all rule systems, but for the actual rules, I prefer having a paper book.

Re: routers and generals

Interesting ...

Yes they broke in the melee phase and the general was fighting in front rank. The initial rout move available was maybe 1/2" due to enemy units and we rolled the 10+ roll (he survived).

routers and generals

If a unit breaks that has a general fighting in the front rank, but has a enemy 1/2" behind it, what happens to the general. Our understanding is the unit gets destroyed as it cant rout any where, but does the general? We decided yes as the general has to stay with unit for its initial rout move (wh...
