Re: What armies/units are you looking forward to in future DLCs?
Looking forward to more western infantry types myself. Flemish heavy weapons units, as well as the bideaux and maybe also routieres.

Re: Suggestions for revision of Russian army lists
Most likely, the heavy riders, armed as knights and fighting as knights, were the majority That would be a real pity, as it would make the Rus armies very similar to Polish and Hungarian and even Teutonic Order, whereas currently they have their own unique identity. The Kievan Rus armies in the 11t...

Re: How to use knights
The medieval battles in the FoG system feel less "tactical" than the ancient ones, precisely because most units are undrilled and knights move and turn slowly. They also go out of control easier than pure non-knightly lancers. Which is not to say this is a fault of the system, as that is a good refl...

Re: Mongol and shooting !
I thought horse armies in FOG2 were not very competitive, so I feel this was a move in the right direction. Did it move too far though? Not sure. Most armies in this period have less drilled troops, also less light troops while at the same time having more MF archers and xbowmen. That may be part of...

https://i.ibb.co/dp5GKTT/20210221182552-1.jpg Hey guys, version 1.0 is available . It is for custom battles, there should be no bugs or missing units. You can find some missing unit descriptions (these are a low priority for me at this point, I'd rather release more armies to you and then add the d...

Re: Eastern wind - The high middle ages in the east (WIP)
And of course I posted in the wrong subforum. I did not realize Medieval II got its own subforum separate from FoG II.
Any chance of a moderator moving this thread to the correct place? Apologies for the confusion.

Re: Eastern wind - The high middle ages in the east (WIP)
Well, we don't want to step anyone's toes. But the system itself invites one to expand the lists.
Are you going to cover the Kara-Khitai and the Rajput kingdoms?

Re: mughal
Well, I'd personally pay 15 Euro for an expansion that would include southeast Asian armies and 20 Euro if it included both southeast Asia and India. I have a soft spot for Shan, Ayutthaya and the Portugese Malacca colony in the 16th century and have been fascinated by the history of the region.

Re: is this game worse than pike and shot?
In Steam the reviews of this game is worse than those of Pike and Shot. Is this game not as good as Pike and Shot or what is wrong since it's rated lower? It is the newest game and should have some advantage over Pike and Shot. I am looking at this one or Pike and Shot, but in fact I'm most interes...

Re: Uncle Sam wants YOU to join the beta!
I was in contact with Johan Nagel about this game before, but it seems Nagel's email address he used to contact me is no longer valid and I couldn';t send him emails. As a result, I've sent an PM to Tamas about it. Let me know if you need anything more from my end.

AI.class hotfix?
I heard that the AI.class bugs have been resolved in 3.2
I'm not askign for a full 3.2 release, but could you guys possibly release just the AI.class file as hotfix for the current 3.1 bugs?

Seeems interesting, especially the events.
Please let me know in case you find a way to change the "original hex owner" parameter. I could use that a lot.

Re: Update news on CTGW patch and more
Thanks for doing this. Are the map files gonna be editable? Sorry to chase this, but are there any news on this issue? No problem at all, sorry to keep you waiting with the answer. It is difficult thing tho, the editor in it's current state is -let's call it- "less than stellar" and while original ...

Directories changing?
The game seems to automaticlaly create the SaveGames and Scenarios directories on a different drive than the game was installed at. This seems to interfere with scenario loading.
How do I manually change the directories in question?
Its non-steam.

Re: "All this madness" - now is 0.99 version!
If there's no news on map files availability, I'm gonna release a downscaled 1.0 version (without additional faction functionality as a necessary result).
