Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

About the 1000 actual units for one in-game unit rule, I think it is a good measure to balance the things out... And it is not that I pretent to rienvent the wheel here, as the mod, as we all can read here is one of the most realistic and well balanced in the PzCorps "universe". But anyway here are...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0

Some were lost around Kursk, it was a static defensive weapon if anything... there were some good ideas around it (looking at its kill ratio) but overall poorly implemented... how can you release a tank without a machine gun for close combat by the way?! I guess they thought no one would be able to...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0

which objectives exactly to take in SU to stop completely their units production ? If they have less than 4 objective city flags. Excluding the ones in the Caucasus with the letter "C", these are not required for victory, just optional. EDIT If partisans recapture enough victory objectives they may...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0

This is my point, why use the Elephant at all? It needs support from ground and from air, is slow, needs lots of maintenance also... As for the Elefant I would highly recommend watching the related Tankchat episode on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqoFbkdEnpw Interestingly in the video t...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0

Question in case I can not launch the rockets V1 vs England, can I use them tactically against tanks, artillery enemy units in France? That would be helpful also. Yes, but they are much less useful against enemy ground units than in the vanilla game. In reality they were happy to hit a big city wit...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

I had some ideas about how to (possibly?) improve or at least make more fun your already very perfected mod, and I would like to know your thoughts about them... Yes, most of these are already in for some time: 100 prestige points penalty for Allied bombing of each of the German cities in a turn up...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0

How I can purchase mine field units, still wondering You should have minefield and strongpoint construction units in the AA class. These are trucks which can be switched to a minefield or a strongpoint wherever they are. Victory objectives raided by level bombers, means dropping a bomb that hits th...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0

* West this is the PROBLEM, not sure about it  Probably everyone will suggest you something else because there are indeed several options. So just do what you feel is best and try to follow you instinct. :) Personally I would suggest to create as many defensive lines as you can and do not fo...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0

Really exciting AAR! :) I hope you will manage to reach a minor victory or a draw at least. If you think that you are unable to defeat the Soviets by turn 99 maybe it is better to change your plans and try to live with a draw. That's why it is good to sometimes take a deep breath and analyse the ove...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

1. Whats happening with vanilla equpments ? - All Good Guys got a new Gun/Armor/Close Defense, but T-34 only got +1 GD When calculating the unit stats I do not only look at armour thickness and gun penetration, but also at other things like having a radio or not, having a three men turret or only t...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

How about an early U-Boat hero in 41, or 42? Eg Erich Topp, see this list with their bios. Erich Topp is already in BE v2.0. He is on the map in turn 1. And we also have Heinrich Lehmann-Willenbrock (the captain of the book and film 'Das Boot' was based on him) and Engelbert Endrass. In turn 10 we ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

Italy surrenders if the Allies capture Tunis and Sicily regardless of when it happens or if it happens at all. What does "or if it happens at all" mean? I thought that the Italian units only disappear if Tunis and Sicily get captured regardless of when. If Tunis and Sicily will not get captured, th...

Re: Some "new" Artillery icons

Nice truck icons! :) The only problem is it looks like the shadows always point outside towards the sides, when they should always be on the left, as with the tank icons you posted above. In PzC the "imaginary" light source (the sun?) comes from right and shadows should be left of the vehicles.

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

What happens with Italian units in 44, still fighting with axis, join allies or else?. I am specially interested in units with dak force in N Afrika. Italy surrenders if the Allies capture Tunis and Sicily regardless of when it happens or if it happens at all. This will result in Italian units disa...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0

- Caucasus, I did not know it takes 24 turns to put the oil fields back! It depends on the version of the mod you are playing. In BE v2.0 only the "realistic+" version has a waiting time of 24 turns for the reparation of the oilfields. In the other versions ("moderate", "realistic" and "multiplayer...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

Yes, as far as I know Maikop was the smallest / least significant of the three main Soviet oilfields in the area, the other two being of course Grozny and Baku. It looks like Maikop produced something like half the oil of what Grozny did, and Baku produced almost ten times more than Maikop. I think ...

Re: The most Realistic Experience Mod Battlefield: Europe v2.0

Very nice and informative AAR! :) On the left is Malta a strategic objective, if going for a Decisive Victory (DV) Even for defending Tunis / Sicily and therefore for defending Southen Italy, keeping Italy on your side, defending Western Europe... So not only for DV but also for MV or Draw... ...

Re: Battlefield Europe v1.9 – month by month

The thing that will be a real killer as more and more of the Allied units appear with more and more experience stars and I will be struggling to maintain what I have in terms of experience. Which is completely fine in terms of historical realism. The Wehrmacht had the best overall quality in June 1...

Re: Battlefield Europe v1.9 – month by month

Speaking of moving forward I am planning on recording again another episode of BE, soon like either tonight or tomorrow morning. Should be going up soon afterwards, like Monday. Very nice! :) But watching Tatsinskaya playthrough on Ultimate got me thinking. Good Grief, my Pz 3M's and StuG's and Pz4...
