Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

We also agreed in some house rules regardind paradrop use and not allowing direct complete air encirclement, becausr it is so unrealistic. One can expect a reduction in losses among Axis aircraft. In my game as Allies with McGuba, often the last sixth attack destroyed a unit. But this was not alway...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

The Norway scenario is also really nice (even nicer now in its new form)... no issues at all)) Would still be wonderful to have the Spanish Civil War of 1936 as a (small) training camp as well... just to keep the idea out there... 8) Yes, sure, but it is not a priority at the moment...

Re: New Projekt: Phcas & AKRebels Mod "PAK" - RELEASE v0.030

And now: the Blohm & Voß Bv 222 Wiking Nice job with some of those new air units! :) Are you planning to make the French Curtiss H75 (Curtiss P-36 Hawk) fighter as well? I think the French Armée de l'Air really needs this model in good quality. OK, so since I did not see this unit being made, I att...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

"the effort needed is unlikely to be worth it" --> u just have not to block theses countries , it takes 5 minutes to do it. It is true that it would be fairly easy to make these countries accessible by removing the neutral hexes but that would create an unhistorical situation. I do not think that t...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

Hi, thanks for you feedback! - 1 : Always no possibilities to buy new units in 41 at the begginning of barbarossa : i had used cheat code and add 20 core units to buy some extra fighter and some extra anti aircraft in france. why not the possibility to buy at least some units at the begginning of th...

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [AXIS] [Turn 95] - Allies Victory!

I would say, for multi it would be 12 turns right enough. For single player, the 24 turn is more realistic. Currently it is 12 turns in multiplayer. However, due to the base game bug with the scripts if playing with "show opponents moves on", i.e. all scripts running twice, I inreased it to 24 for ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

Hmm, after the first turn, where the Axis units have not yet encircled the Soviet forces west of Minsk (farest Axis ground units are at 101:33, 101:34 and 101:40) - air units are of course more east), still I got two several times the messages, that they surrendered already after the first (Allied)...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

"L'action de l'armée de l'air en 1939-1940 : facteurs structurels et conjoncturels d'une défaite" from Philippe Garraud, an in-depth look at France's performances in the air until the armistice, comes up with 500 German planes destroyed (by the French), not the 1000 that were claimed by the forces ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

I did find the Allied air power a bit overwhelming though, especially when I need four fighters so shoot down one enemy fighter or bomber. As far as I read, the French fighters historically were not as powerful and many were not operational, but I could be mistaken. It looks like the French Air For...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

Unfortunately something seems to be wrong with the Torch trigger (i think). Although i captured London in mid '42, Torch still activated. I`m pretty sure Torch shouldn't activate in the first place seeing as i had captured London, right? Or do you need to capture the whole of the UK? The Torch land...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

In fact, the Ju 188 was only marginally better than the Ju 88 so I would not want to increase its stats more, as it was not very successful. Well, it was basically just one of the many different developments out of the Ju 88, being based on the Ju 88 B. The only real reason why it was named Ju 188 ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

Ju188A upgrade is too expensive for what you get. 1 extra GD, AD, AA (passive) for 200 prestige. Also it has less fuel than the 88A. Compare with the Heinkel upgrade which for a similar cost gives you way better everything. I recommend reducing the price of the Ju188A upgrade as its currently just ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

Its interesting the new air units that can only travel over water and not land. Yeah, I did not like the fact that the AI sometimes used its Catalinas to attack tank units in France so I decided to make these and other seaplanes only able to fly over sea hexes, although they can also enter coastal ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

When using this air transport function, is there unlimited fuel? Yes, sure, basically the same as with train transports for ground units. But this time it is for air units and they can of course move any direction including over seas, and can embark and disembark at unoccupied airfields. However, w...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

I had a look at the equipment file and you seem to have tweaked some units – generally making the Axis ones worse. Most noticeable changes that I can see are the decrease in range of the 2cm AA (much more incentive to upgrade it to something else now) and that a lot of planes are a bit worse. Not e...

Re: SSI look for Panzer Corps

I'd like to play the old Panzer General with Panzer Corps rules, but I think this doesn't exist, also. http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=249624 Looks quite dated (2011) and somewhat unfinished, but still works, or at least I could install it with GME and start the first classic scenar...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.0

Hi McGuba, Looking forward to trying the new version of the game. I only just finished my v1.08 game as I got distracted by many things and didn’t pick it up until about 1 year after starting. That game resulted in minor victory with me defeating the Russians. This time round I think I will focus o...
