Re: Panzer Corps 2 Pacific DLC Shelved
I may represent a minority, but I have really liked the first episode in Spain with the independent and sometime chaotic handle of the Spaniard infantry by the AI. For me it was much near the reality of the people assaulting a front line, when the general is not in the middle of the fray. Regarding ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 Pacific DLC Shelved
Ok it is a deception, but by the way do we know all the real reasons? Is-it simply a limitation of the actual engine or something linked to the development team or the production? The game has been a real fun and interesting for the past 3 years: I don't understand why some players turn agressive wh...

A list of "light" vs "heavy" units would be helpful
In the first OP in Canada, only "light" units have a survival chance, but on the mechanized side: What is a "light" unit?
Is a 150 mm considered a "light" unit? An 88 mm AA? A Panther ?
If a table exist with such a category description, I would appreciate a helpful hand.

Re: 1946 Video Summary
It's a good and very professional video! I cannot tell you the surprise I felt when my core was on the receiving end of a first atomic bomb in the first episode, but I remember the civil security training my parents had in Europe during the Cold War, and this super weapon extension don't seems so un...

Re: 1946 Insider Articles
30 Scenarios for the invasion of America from the West Coast! It is a dream come true! Not just for the number of scenarios, but also because it's a first. The Germans with the help of the Japanese as combined invader force looks promising. It may also serves as a possible end if the Pacific DLCs we...

Re: Fantastic game!
I also liked the game: The AI is not bad, all units are useful and well balanced, most even when the game is well advanced. The surprises put you on your toes. You also really have to change your style and tactic for conquering if you change your party. It runs smoothly on my 4 years old Dell G5. Wh...

Re: Arriving in Lybia exhausted !!
May be it is the army mix (together with the strategy) which could be improved in the battles before Lybia? As an example the type of army balance I had when starting in Lybia (my positive trait was Infantry General): Infantry : 7 (2 Pionier, 2 Grenadier, 3 Wehr Inf), Panzer : 4 (Type IIIH which are...

Re: When to say goodbye (to the Verdeja)?
I am playing on Field Marshal difficulty, and the Verdeja has taken its part in all the battles up to 43. For a total price of 3 Cores, you have an over strengthened unit of 13, Having done all the DLC it is maxed in awards (+3 Antitank and Anti-infantry, Steam roller and survivor) If you add the 3 ...

Re: How to take the ahistorical path of the Main campaign on Field Marshal difficulty
Thank you very much for all these helpful comments. In my previous try I had used Liberator, Blitzkrieg and now I have added Trophies of War, but I had to renounce to my favorite, Infantry General and accept a Slow Modernization penalty. The first scenarios have been much easier with less "Bean...

How to take the ahistorical path of the Main campaign on Field Marshal difficulty
After finishing the 3 last DLC on Field Marshal, I tried to do the same with the main campaign with the objective to achieve the ahistorical path with the Africa Korps at Gazala. After the needed repairs and upgrades, I started the scenario with zero prestige. Unfortunately, if I succeeded with the ...

Re: Western War Movies about the Eastern Front
Following the disastrous Armistice from 1940, some French refused to give up and a small group of pilots and their mechanicians were sent to fight on the eastern front with the Russian. There is a film from 1959 "Normandie Niemen" which relates some of their feats of arms. The Normandie-Ni...

Eastern War Movies
I am not generally a supporter of Russia or Russian films, but I recommend the 3 war films hereafter: The Bomber (2012) During World War II, a soviet aircraft crashes on Nazi-occupied territory. But the pilot Grivtsov and his beloved radio operator Katya miraculously survive. Another survivor is fli...

Re: Military Tank Expert Rates Tank Battles
Personally, I really liked the drama of Fury, but by far the most realistic Tank battles are in the film "T34". It is not an American film... It shows much more about the different strategies to kill a Tank and what it is like to be inside.

Re: Problem with prokhorovka level
To complement, the good advices above, I would recommend to leave a small group containing one infantry + artillery + tank to hold the northern city once captured (PRELESTNOE), because the AI will try to recapture it, and concentrate the rest on your center objectives. You will have some hard fights...

DLC 1943 finished (both endings) some remarks
After finishing twice 1943 (last on field marshal difficulty), with no main issues or bugs (thanks !) I had the 3 following questions/remarks: - I had the feeling that the hero "counterbattery fire", when applied, doesn't function on all types of batteries? - The support by your batteries ...

Re: The Verdeja tank drives me nuts
Given your list of heros, I would at least give the Verdeja the "first strike" hero, then I will use as often as practical a recon positioned near (best is behind to surround it) the targeted unit to add its bonus. I am still using the Verdeja as a front line unit in 1943, but It has 3 her...

Re: Let's get ahead of ourselves : Axis Operations 1944/1945
I would vote for one big (priced) DLC with quite separate historical and ahistorical path if possible. I liked De Gaulle in the previous DLC, and I am ready for some more, difficult to kill, figures from the past. The principle of ambush from heroes strengthened units is also important and fun, it c...
